I have seen the coaches talking to Henne on the sideline during the WC plays.

Also the gentleman brings up a great point about D coordinator's spending time on the WC and thus reducing the game prep time for Henne.

Once we address the WR position and TE I think you will see the WC take a reduced role. The WC just fits our current personnel, period. Young QB you run the ball to take pressure off of him and keep out of 3rd and longs. We have done that and the WC is part of that.

Some people dare to question the traditional line of thought in the NFL. That isn't always a bad thing. I like the fact we drafted Pat White. I like the fact we run the WC. I like the fact we ran the option. It's not a bad thing.

To me, it has to be the receivers. When I see a pass hit the right spot, I don't care who threw it, it has to be caught. Henne is hitting the spots, but the receivers aren't catching it. That's on the receivers, not Henne. Plus, who threw the ball to Ginn in the endzone against Indy that he dropped and would have won the game? The drops started well before Henne came on board.

What do you want, Henne to throw the ball lefty?

Those balls to Bess, Hartline and again Ginn need to be caught.

You watch that Ginn pass and his arms look like scissors.

Bess is in a funk, and that sometimes builds momentum, but he has shown he has good hands, I'm not to concerned with him. Ginn has proven not to have good hands, Hartline we don't know yet.

You can be sure one thing, put the Pat's Wr's on our team and all those balls are caught.

Ginn had good hands prior to this year. THIS YEAR, using your line of thinking, both Ginn and Bess have proven to have bad hands. I think it goes deeper than our receivers...we might need a new receivers coach.

What else do you want him to do? He is playing great and I see nothing wrong with his rhythm. He can't catch the ball too. If ours receivers were catching balls thrown to them and not fumbling then there wouldn't be a reason to run the wildcat so often.

That's the one thing I have noticed about Ginn. He doesn't catch with his hands. He tries to haul in passes with his arms and chest.

Ted Ginn Jr has never had good hands. Ever.

I don't buy that it is clear that unlike other QBs he is not the guy they expect to win the game, this kind of **** will screw him up we get White instead of a receiver that could help Henne.
How would you like a job like that.

Henne is doing well; moreso, given that his Offensive Line has somehow neglected that whole "blocking" part of their job description lately; even moreso, given that his Wide Receivers have now all forgotten how to catch a ****ing ball, not just Ted Ginn.

He is standing in when he needs to and still has some trouble deciding when to get rid of it; but that will come with time and experience.

He also needs to learn that not every pass needs to be a laser - there have been a few times that his Receivers could have caught balls over defenders if he had put some arc on them.

    But, again - that'll come.

Overall, given the circumstances he is doing very well indeed.

Lol. In these times I would take Henne's job in heartbeat. I am not going to feel sorry for the guy. His career isn't judged on this year.

It was okay for Pennington to go out there with these same receivers? This board has been full of flack for the WR crew and almost ZERO negativity for Henne. So I have no clue where you get off he is being held accountable for the wins and losses. I don't read every thread but I read a whole lot of them.

Henne has a good Oline in front of him. If there is anyone who should have gotten a free pass and some pity it was John Beck. Dude got thrown into the fire w/o an Oline or any kind of help on offense. How would you like that job? Henne isn't in a perfect situation but he has better off than a lot of young QB's.
