For me, I like OLD Mariah Carey. She had an amazing voice and she was gorgeous. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52d20PK_Kyk"]YouTube - Mariah Carey I'll be there[/ame] What are your guilty pleasures?
I don't like a genre other than rock. But within that genre one band I'd classify as a guilty pleasure is The Donnas. They are kind of like a girl version of KISS or AC/DC.
I don't think music is a guilty pleasure. I listen to what I like and I like A LOT. This is something I could see falling under this category, though. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhAKbuneAgM"]YouTube - Guilty Pleasure - Cobra Starship[/ame]
Britney Spears pre- and during Justin Timberlake Justin Timberlake after N'SYNC. Some songs off the Digimon Movie Soundtrack.
Bette Midler (I don't care what anybody says, The Rose is one of the greatest songs ever, great movie, too) Kenny Rogers Johnny Rivers
LOVE the Donnas! Haved a major lust for drummer Torry Castellano. Mine would be: ~ Elvis ~ Stevie Wonder ~ The Soundtrack from "Wicked" ~ Tom Jones I'm sure there's more.
I don't know if I'd call this a guilty pleasure, but I love Five for Fighting. [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmoE8_U-JTw"]YouTube- Five For Fighting - 100 Years[/nomedia]
Absolutely nothing wrong with Talking Heads OR Oingo Boingo my friend Haven't heard much of Duran Duran, but I love Talking Heads and have heard everything Oingo Boingo has put out.
i have tons of musical guilty pleasures; 80's cheese dominates my ipod. on XM, i have the 80's channel, Hair Nation, and 1st Wave on presets. and also Disney movie soundtrack music, because of all the memories with my three daughters. I actually bought the soundtrack to the Magic Kingdom's "Spectramagic" Parade, and listen to it when i am bummed. It is impossible for me to stay down when i think of the girls first time each experiencing WDW. "A Whole New World" from Alladdin (and the Mickey's Philharmagic attraction at Magic Kingdom) "You've got a friend in me" from Toy Story ( which is my 3 year old daughter's current obsession, she was Jessie for Halloween) "Part of your world" from The Little Mermaid (my 6 year old has always loved Ariel) "Just can't wait to be King" from Lion King (also from Mickey's Philharmagic, one of my girls favorite attractions at WDW)

Five For Fighting is actually a band I like quite well and the 100 Years song is one of my all time favorites. Gin Blossoms I have downloaded their songs over and over again. I say if you want to take a sample of mid to late 90s pop-rock you have to include Gin Blossoms, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, The Wallflowers, Barenaked Ladies, Jamiroquai, and the list goes on and on. Personally I love 1990s rock music. It reminds me of being younger and I just love the music. So don't be ashamed of the Gin Blossoms. Also for my guilty pleasure I am really going to shame myself and have my man card taken away totally but I secretly enjoy: Dashboard Confessional and 90s country music oh and even a Lady Gaga song (I won't mention which lol). I actually feel ashamed admitting those even over the internet.
Alabama is like the ultimate guilty pleasure: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcV4Jqvw_cM&feature=PlayList&p=0B276B5970F2E6E1&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=14"]YouTube- "Song of the South" by Alabama Lyrics[/ame]
i despise dashboard confessional. overrated band IMO. gin blossoms, completley legitimate girly band.
3rd world country located at the south of a 1st world country. Alot like mexico I must say. STOP THE ALABAMA IMMIGRANTS!
Whoa now. I never said I defend Dashboard Confessional as a legitimate band just that they have a couple songs I like which I am ashamed of. Also a lot of 90s pop-rock bands are kind of girly I guess in that they aren't hardcore I guess you'd say but I like them. That belongs in the POFO.
