so whats wrong with the xbox arcade? what if i do nothing but play games? will it work? i dont care about xbox live, or music, or downloading demos......would i need a hard drive? or could i use a arcade?
how much and how would i go about doing that? if its too much....shouldnt someone just buy a normal xbox 360?
An arcade is a "normal" xbox 360. I don't know how much 20gb HDs cost, they don't make them any more afaik. You could probably find one online used or at gamestop or whatever though.
will my hdmi cable is use for my ps3 work? i can just interchange them? only 1 tv...so it would work.
couldnt you buy a memory card too? if all your gonna do is play games, i think a memory card would do
yeah, no need for a memory card and any hdmi will do. i bought an arcade a couple months back and got a 120gb hard drive off ebay for $65. to be honest, all i do is play games too, and i think you'll be fine with the internal memory card. however to charge the control, you're going to either have to keep buying AA's or pick up a play and charge kit.
FYI, the walmart official site says it's a one-day only sale on Nov 7 starting at 8am, not a week long promotion. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=648061&povid=cat14503-env172199-module110409-lLinkSP1
Wow with the $100 gift card that is awesome. You could pick up some MS points, a year long Live subscription, and even a play and charge kit with that. Or instead of points you could try and find a cheap game or even a hard drive...my Wal-Mart still has 2OGB hard drives. Awesome deal. And Sick before you jump at this deal keep an eye on slickdeals.net. Sometimes you can find 360 Elites on there from Dell for about $200. With that you'll get a 120GB HD and a HDMI cord. Back when 360 Elites were still $400 I got one for $250 with two free games (still a bargain now with $300 Elites)...so Dell has bargains on these. However because of the $100 gift card and what you'll want I say the Arcade and $100 gift card would be great for you. You'd have enough money to get a game or two or if you changed your mind get some Live stuff. Seriously the best deal I have seen in a long time.
I'd recommend a hard drive. But if you don't care about XBL or downloading stuff, you should be fine with a 512MB memory card. edit - didnt realize they come with internal memory.
You should definetly care about xbox live. Its the best part of Xbox and without it I would hardly ever play my xbox.
***NOTE*** Gift card is for online purchases only and you can not use it in stores!!!!! Must be used online only!!!!! Just a heads up http://www.walmart.com/catalog/DescribeBundleComponent.do?bundle_id=13044371&component_id=2
I don't think that's correct. The Arcade unit comes with a 512 mb memory card, but has no hard drive.
you can save games to the internal memory card. i was saving games to it for about a month until my hard drive was delivered. also, you can save all the updates and other downloads from microsoft. the only thing you can't put on it are bigger files like demos. you can even save older games to it.
