Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: The Kansas City Chiefs claimed WR Chris Chambers on waivers. So he's staying in the AFC West.
Great. What are the odds that Chambers lights us up when we play the Chiefs this year just like every other ex-Dolphin does? EDIT: I was thinking of Houston. Damn glad we don't play KC this season.
I don't see us playing Chiefs in a while. We played them last year. And i wouldn't bet on him playing lights out vs us even if we do meet. In two meetings vs Chargers, what did he do?
Kind of a weird pickup for KC. Why would they claim a guy they have to pay 2.4 Million for when they are out of playoff contention?
This came from Adam Schefters twitter. That other guy was some FL Panther beat writer with the Dwayne Boye reports. The Dan Lebatard show confirmed it as well. ( Which is funny) Dan said Nat Moore and Jimmy Cefalo were still available for all the fans that want to bring back ex dolphins players...pretty good comedy on 790 today.
I guess. Gotta be more cost effective ways to do that though. The Chiefs aren't catching the Chargers anytime soon - with or without Chambers' knowledge of San Diego's playbook.
Not to mention has been very very dismall in Sandy Eggo. I have zero idea what type of recipe they have for turning that organization around? We got draft picks for guys we were gonna cut anyways. We have who I consider to be their best QB for next to nothing. They gave away Waayyyy too much for Cassella, and now this? Certainly glad I am not a Chefs fan
Good. I wouldn't have enough time to post in a "Hate Ginn" and a "Hate Chambers" threads in this forum.
This makes little sense for KC IMO. Doesn't Chambers become a UFA after this season? Why would they want to pay a guy that much for half a season when they are out of contention already?
He scored a TD against us before we injured him. That injury is what started his decline, btw. up until then, he lit it up in San Diego after being traded here, then had 6 TDs in 6 games before we injured him. I don't think he's been right since, physical or mental I don't know.
If it makes you feel any better, there was no way we could've gotten Chambers since the Chiefs have dibs over us
Dude, the Chiefs claimed him off waivers. Miami didn't even have a chance for you to damn Parcells. Calm down buddy. It's all going to be ok.
Local talk radio is all over this move for the same reason, FWIW. It's another example of Pioli simply churning the roster to make headlines. It's possible they home that getting Chambers signifies that the Chiefs are trying to get better ... ticket sales have been down so there may be some ownership pressure to try and get fans back out to Arrowhead.
We do need a WR, but Chambers is not worth it. Plus Kansas City had first dibbs and they took him, nothing we could do.
Oh well it would have been good to have him back to help our receiving core. Since he is a free agent at the end of the year and wants to retire in Miami,he will probably just be a rental in Kansas City. Come home next year Chris
Yeah I would love to have either of those two receivers also but I am sure the Cowboys and Chargers will get them re-signed.By the way I like the sweep in your signature haha
NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO All I care about is that this better not interfere with Bowe's decent fantasy season, he's been a good starter for me since he's the only guy Cassel can throw to
