    I figured this would happen...

Sparano is no joke. He's like " Just because you did good on Special Teams doesn't mean you're starting next Sunday" LOL

I don't like this. He should start. His confidence is high now. He should get more playing time, at least.

I listened to the presser. He made a point of how Ginn can make big plays (brought up the two times he got open deep). I took it to mean that he is going to make sure that plays are designed to exploiut Ginn's abilities and I took from that that he will be getting more receiving opportunities.

On the rightous side, I think he is telling it like he is.

2 Kick Returns garuantee's he will be returning kicks 100%, not more time at WR.

On the practical side, (A Sparano strongpoint) it also doesnt say he WONT be seeing more time. I imagine lots of study of routes run this last week and how guys do in practice will determine pecking order....

Well, Sparano is a SOB, meaning he is just a tough, old school coach, who demands players do things a certain way, or they will not see more playing time.

    Two TD returns?

Psshaw, keep in mind Wake had 2.5 sacks and a strip against the bills and he is in the Sparano Player Protection program, they just disappear and they won't resurface until they satisfy whatever it is Sparano is looking for from a player.

So Ginn sticking to returns and being a sort of #3 deep threat Wr is what Ted Ginn will be doing, I am surprised that Bess is still on punt returns though, if Ginn is going to be a "returner" then he should return everything imho.

IMO sparano is on the money.

a good KR does not make a good WR

with that said Ginn can still be our vertical threat if he is a KR. 200 yards for 2 TDs in one game definitely qualifies to me as a deep threat.

He at least keeps the defense honest. Lets see how well the offense moves when he isn't in the line up because the offense didn't really move the ball when he was on the sideline.

Funny you say that since Howard never had a regular season KR for a TD and in a 9 year career Howard only had 15 more receptions, 176 more rec yards, and 2 more rec TDs (though unlike Ginn, Howard has 0 rushing TDs) than what Ginn has now.

I mean if you want to play down Ginn's abilities, by all means feel free to do so. But could you at least pick a legitimate player for comparison (let a lone call a poor man's version of), not a guy who Ginn is better than after 1/3rd of the time in the league.

Yeah he isn't prone to dropping balls for two seasons and he drops a couple balls for a couple games and all of a sudden he can't catch.

In my own humble opinion people need to get over this idea. He's ALWAYS had sure hands, he's just had a rough stretch. Everyone goes through it at some point. At least he is getting open a lot more often this year.

He should see more time at WR for the simple fact he can get open down the field and keep the defense honest.

Alex, the problem i have and have always had with Ginn is that the perception from him is that its the QBs job to hit him in the hands ... as opposed to its HIS job to go get the ball.

watch NO and MIN and others ... Favre and Brees are not hitting WRs in the hands, they are putting the ball in a position to be caught -- and it is the WRs job to catch it ...

from everything we have ever seen from Ted, that is not a belief that he shares ... his whole life he has relied on his god given speed - and it has worked (for instance his returns last weekend) ... but at this level - it just takes more than that ... and he is not doing it.
