I agree that Ginn hasn't been elite. However, he put up almost 800 yards last year. He's been playing with a QB who didn't throw deep, and he was running deep routes. I don't think it's really fair to draw conclusions about Ginn because of the QB we had on the field. With the two games so far with Henne, I am very optimistic that Ginn will start to have more of an effect in the passing game. I do think tha we need a big physical receiver to be our redzone threat, though.

    yea yea okay.

I don't need to use preseason catches to do that. I can just go back the last 2.5 years. Spin it anyway you want Ginn's not a #1 receiver. Keep praying though Santa's coming to town:up:

I think Ginn could get it done if he was tutored properly. He needs a #1 to be a #1. He has the intangibles. The things ya can't teach......intelligence, speed, desire and Heart. The guy is close to breaking out.....I am concerned he may not get there unless somethings happens.......sooner then later:knucks:

We don't need a traditional number one receiver, we're a run oriented team. All we need is for our WR's to spread the field and Ginn can do that.

Receivers generally take 3 years to fully develop, a guy like Ginn was asked to be a burner in college and then was asked to become a more well rounded wideout, I think he's progressing nicely. A guy like Steve Smitth took 3 years to really find himself, Roddy White took 4 years, faulting Ginn because he hasn't lived up to what you are looking for in 2 1/2 years is silly. He has done a very good job of developing each year, and that's without a QB that can take advantage of his ability as a deep threat.

Quarterback is a demanding position, more so than WR, so comparing them in this case (mentor) really isn't accurate. Ginn doesn't need a mentor as much as he needed a QB who could utilize him. All the mentors in the world couldn't have made Pennington, Green or Lemon throw the ball deep with accuracy.

If a child hasn't been taught manners by his parents, is it really his fault when he's rude in public? Then why would it be Ginn's fault or that of the coaches if the Phins didn't have a QB that could throw deep? If the foundation isn't in place, you can't expect to see positive results and that is something that we didn't have during Ginn's first 2 years. We all saw what can happen with Ginn when you have a strong armed QB, give it time and let them build some chemistry before you make up your mind about what Ginn can or can't be.

Where have you been for the last couple of years? That's all teams have done against us. :pointlol:

Again, we had a balanced attack against the Jets, they have a very tough and stingy defense and Ginn (along with Henne) made them look silly. Ginn left Revis (one of the best CB's in the game) in his rear-view mirror, Henne was able to work the playaction extremely effectively, how is that not something to look forward to?

Did Ted Ginn show what he was made of or what today?

Nice, Sparano sometimes is too cautious.
