Among the highlights, Bob Keuchenberg calls him an embarrassment. And Mark Duper offered to help him, but got no response. McDuffie, Kiick and others chime in. Marino and Shula say don't bench him. Larry Little comments on Gibril Wilson. Read the article itself. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1309879.html
Ginn could use some decent PR.......having Duper come in and work with him, if nothing else would at least temporarily quiet the fans and buy him some more time to develop into a better receiver. Would be curious to know his reasons for ignoring the offer.
We don't really know if he is ignoring the offer. I think we've all received a message before that we didn't respond to for one reason or another that had nothing to do with disrespecting someone.
Duper would be great for Ginn... very simular "games" IMO Duper was a straight line speed guy as well. Posted via Mobile Device
WR is a more "high matinence" spotlight type player i guess......also teddy was a big name (imo) coming out of college..... maybe thats why? i dunno.....but imo.....they need to keep their yaps shut, its one thing for fans to bash on players currently....when we pay for nfl ticket, we buy jerseys, we buy season tixs, we buy tixs to away games etc etc......but imo.....its not their place to bash current players of the miami dolphins......it should be like a fraternity......family..... i dunno...thats just me.
They really should shut up for the most part. Precious few of those names are qualified to give personnel or coaching tips, and even then a basic sense of professionalism should be enough to dissuade them from mouthing off. It seems like NFL beat writers have a long list of people to call for dumb Dolphins soundbytes, and Kuechenberg is numbers 1-10.
riiiiiight. so why not bash the coaches instead of ginn? What Ginn does on the field is no more embarrassing than Jason Allen being drafted in the first round to be a ST gunner. I don't see Pat Surtain and Sam Madison calling out Allen and offering to coach him up. I don't see anyone saying they are embarrassed by him at all. But Ginn was picked 7 picks higher, so thats different.... yeah. i dont like hearing negative comments from dolphin alumni. keep that **** at home. it does no one any good to call out Ginn like that. He knows damn well that he needs to improve. He probably can't even go out to eat in Miami without getting his food spit on.
Cursing in your posts doesn't get the point across any better. Please refrain from that as we are better then that here. The Alumni have every right to voice there opinion. They played here and were very successful. Duper sending Ted Ginn an email and not getting any response is a real slap in the face. If I was Ginn, I would be taking Duper up on his offer right away.
Ginn is about 12hrs away from redemtion...kill the Jets AGAIN and all will be forgiven. Posted via Mobile Device
i mean honestly......if duper was such a great teacher....why isnt he a coach? thats why we have coaches, we pay them alot of money.
I see your point, but it hasn't worked yet has it? Sometimes people are too close to the situation, and a third party maybe able to get through to that player. Duper was a great receiver here, and I would definitely listen to what he had to say if I was really struggling in my third year bro.
i would take advice def......but i dont think its his place, to come out publicly talking like "i can help him with that" im sure ginn and our current coaches dont appreciate it.....its almost like a backhanded remark imo.
Henne is not a slacker. I think Ginn would have even a tougher time with catching Marino throws because of the speed on them.
I would take it as I am not doing my job with Ginn, and work that much harder. I am not really overly enthused by this coaching staff this year.
and honestly, ive murdered ted ginn relentlessly.....but hes played with.......in 3 seasons..... trent green cleo lemon john beck chad pennington and chad henne in 3 seasons........... and hes been more productive than alot of good WRs now at this stage in their careers, with more stable QB/ offensive schemes.....throw in a learning disability to boot......i dunno......these former players have no right to say anything PUBLICLY imo....
You have good points bro. Brian Hartline is a rookie, and when he in, it seems like our offense is clicking, and has some moxy. I still don't get that feeling about Ginn.
He really needs to push himself to get better this season here in Miami, or he could be looking at a new team in 2010.
If Ginn played with Marino he would get chewed out relentlessly on the sidelines. Marino didn't **** around. You mess up, you get yelled at. I'm with Gish on this whole thing... BK needs to stfu about Ted Ginn. It's one thing to discuss Ginn's play like the other, another thing to be a straight up ******* (which he absolutely is, this isn't the first time he's said **** like this).
And what did Don Shula say in regards to benching Ginn? "No way." So all you guys who think he should be benched, you are going against the master, and should perhaps reconsider your position. Unless of course you think football better than Shula.
A lot of those comments I thought were too scathing to be made by those particular people. And if guys like Duper and McDuffie wanted to really be of some help, they could have approached this in a more quiet and constructive manner... And although neither one of them is a coach......both excelled in some areas that make Ginn the limited receiver that he is. It's not like them giving him some tips could possibly hurt anything. This guy is at a major turning point in his career and things aren't looking all that promising for him. If he's not already, he should be desperate for pretty much any help he can get.
Duper is trying to do just that and has been working with some College Wr's during the offseasons. It looks like he might actually be decent. EXCEPT one thing that I noticed a couple of weeks ago. He called in during the UM hotline after the OU/UM game and I'm not 100 percent sure, but he sounded drunk.
I know if I'm Tedd Ginn, I'm calling Jerry Rice, Mark Duper, Clayton, McDuffie, Chris Carter, and anyone else worthy of calling.............the second I get drafted. Of course he has coaches on the team to help him but man, If thats me I want to do whatever it takes to look at least close to being worthy of a ninth pick in the draft.
Love good old Kuech! He say's what's on his mind, the way it should be. Mrs. Ginn, Mr. Kuech says you suck, maybe you should take your panties off on put some boxers on and pull your pair out of you butt and start playing.
Not just that but for him, his future in this league is riding on every game he plays right now. He's at a point where he's being measured up..
