This is the blurb on the #16 Miami Dolphins from foxsports power rankings:

"In most cases, blowing a 24-3 lead at home would be treated as a catastrophe. But with the Saints in the stratosphere these days, the Dolphins must keep perspective and keep messing with opponents' minds with their unique blend of offensive football. As rough a day as Chad Henne had against New Orleans, the Dolphins can still make a playoff run."

I wouldn't call it rough for Henne though. The Pick6 was Ginn's bobbling fault, not his. The 4th quarter drops were not his fault either, it's not like they were bad passes, they were perfect. He most likely realizes this, and hopefully the coaching staff puts the ball in Ricky and Ronnie's hands when we have a good lead or in the 4th quarter. Or throw to camarillo or hartline. Camarillo learned from that stupid play, at least he caught it though.

yea I thought Henne played great not stats wise of course but stood in the pocket with heavy pressure and was accurate. Had Ted Ginn not dropped 20 or some passes who knows the outcome..

Im treating the rest of the season as growing pains for Henne, next year he will rock it up

I don't even know how that can be considered a rough game for Henne. Should he have thrown that pass that Porter took to the house? Probably not. But after the way the game went until that point he was just trying to force a play and maybe, just maybe, there would have actually been a catch. I thought Henne had a very good game, but the receivers left him high and dry out there.

wow, this is a rather forgiving rank. that idiot prisco has us at like 22nd or worse, behind the bills and jests...despite us whipping both their asses very recently. i cant wait til we beat the jets and they're still ranked 5 slots ahead of us according to that clown.

    4-3 > 2-4

If you think the Jets suck so bad, than in turn Miami sucks. 2 wins vs 2 ****ty teams according to you.

No matter what, it was a rough day for Henne. He played hard, and when you do that and lose, no matter who's shoulders the loss is weighed upon, that's gotta hurt.

Sometimes people move to different states for work. I know it is a hard notion to wrap your brain around, but not everybody in Florida is from Florida.

    Uuuuhmmm......

You got a problem with "Cow Hunters" and spurs?

You have NO IDEA what its like living in North Texas

Seriously, there's a guy at work (Remember, I work for a large Engineering firm) who dresses like he fell right out of Little House on the Prarie.
He usually has on leather pants, tucked inside his boots.
The pants have little pouches for various tools, and a bowie knife sewn right into the pants.

I keep expecting to find his horse tied to a lampost out front every day I leave...

I am from Albany, not NYC. So, moving to the Orlando Metro area was actually going from a small city to a large one. Plus Clermont makes my commute to work very short.

Ahh...Arcadia, we used to take canoe trips down the Myakka River...

    As for the power rankings...WTH?

People generally despise the BCS so now they create one for the NFL?

Jets week is upon us as we go for the sweep in Jetsland, I hear there will be a spelling test before Jets fans can enter the stadium so it should be half empty...

Does all of Florida get the Dolphins games again since the Jaguars are blacked out all season? They both play at 1 on sunday. Not sure if the Jags are home though.

In Arcadia back in the day, Cows outnumbered people 200-1, when the Summer Sun beat down on acres and acres of meadow muffins, the stench was memorable...

but they have their very own umbrella's

back to the op.. I think that there is much good to bring away from the Saints game. For the second time this year we know we can play with the elite nose to nose for enough of the game for us to know we are close. Our 53 gave their 53 all they wanted. If we had last years "refuse to lose" we would have pulled the win off sunday, we haven't found that this year.

.....and this is why I never follow the media and come in here to get my Dolphin sports news. 90% of "sports guru's" don't watch the game, film or have any knowledge of teams outside their market. I have eyes, I can watch the tape. Henne is not the problem with Miami.

Albany, what is that, Canada? :pointlol:

To keep my post on topic, Henne did have quite a rough day. His fault, their fault, Saints fault, who knows, but at the end of the day it's still rough. Boy I was hoping on that final drive he was going to lead us to the end zone. You guys forget, there were two pick sixes. The second one sealed the deal. Hmm, does that make it Henne's fault? It was Ginn's fault in the Indy game because even though our D let us down, he had a chance to win the game, so the argument goes.

Well, when Henne throws that Pick 6, weren't we still only down 6? I know, 4th down, I know illegal shift, but he still threw a pick six. No? Ok, just checking.

That play was 4th and 13 I believe with an untouched rusher zeroing in on him.......he couldn't throw it away or take the sack at that point so he just threw it up for grabs. Not much else he could do. I thought he did pretty well on that drive but his receivers negated his efforts.

Henne played well enough that he shouldn't have had to rally us at that point........Bess' fumble and Ginn's "tip drill" put him in that spot.

Really can't see how anything can be pinned on Henne for Sunday's loss.... the kid continues to make the Dolphin's future look brighter than it has in years.
