Chad Henne can’t take step back http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...alking-points-chad-henne-cant-take-step-back/
I really believe Chad will play within himself and make us proud. I saw nothing in either game he's started that would make me think he will have a bad game.
You can tell Henne has learned from Pennington in reagrds to staying away from the bad turnover. Although, it's not like the Jets really got that much pressure on him. The Saints will undoubtedly try and get in his face.
I don't doubt Henne will do something stupid at some point, but I don't see him totally folding in a game like Sanchez did this past week, or against the Saints. Plus, he's already had one dumb rookie moment to learn from with that pick six in SD. He's been insanely poised so far, so it's hard to imagine he'd tread too far off course at this point. Again, he will do some stupid things, but hopefully nothing that in-and-of-itself will lose a game. Also, remember, in Brady's first, glorious Super Bowl year, when he broke on the scene, he once had a four INT game in Denver! I think he recovered well!
Henne is no Sanchez the guy has been preparing to captain this team for the last year & a half very bad comparison 24/27-Miami
Henne is much better than Sanchez ... and has much more experience as well ... while he may endure a bad game or two ... he will not 'regress' ... Sanchez is way too inexperienced, but i'm not complaining ....
It's a little unfair and unrealistic to think that he won't take a step back at some point, the Jets game was as close to perfection as we've seen in forever. He's still a young player, and like Sanchez, he'll have games where he makes a boneheaded pass or just looks awful, but that's to be expected. The one thing that the Jets game did do was it showed us what he's capable of against a very good defense, we just shouldn't expect that to become the norm at this stage of his career.
The issue here is that Sanchez is a Rookie QB, first year in the NFL, VERY limited College playing time, playing in a high pressure environment, and playing in New York weather. Henne is a 2nd year starter QB who played all 4 years in college, was tutored by a guy for an entire year who absolutely stresses ball control and not giving up the pick (Penny), he's playing in a much less hostile atmosphere (I'm sorry, Miami fans are not nearly as knee jerk as New York fans, deal with it, it's true), and playing in South Florida weather, which this time of year is usually pretty dry and cool (not cold). Henne and Sanchez could not be any more different in terms of their environment, and how they were brought up. I think they're going to be great quarterbacks, both of them. However, I think that Henne is not going to have nearly the same types of growing pains Sanchez will experience. I seriously do not believe we will see a 6 int game out of Henne unless our entire O line suffers injury. The Jets were trying to pressure him all game, and he didn't turn it over to them. So outside of maybe the Steelers defense (Polamalu is just absolutely ridiculous), and maybe a few other premier pass defenses in the league, I think he'll do just fine. Don't get me wrong, it's his first time starting in the NFL, of course there will be growing pains. I just really don't think that you can compare them to what Sanchez is going through right now. I've got faith in him. And if he proves me wrong for a few games, he's got the rest of the year to show us he can bounce back from it. I haven't felt this confidant about our quarterback situation since Marino left (Mostly because I knew Pennington wasn't going to be long term).
In all honesty Chad will throw one of those games, even if he's not a "true" rookie, he's a first time starter and it will happen. its a learning experience though. teaches them to man up something Sanchez didnt. YOU SEE HIM ALMOST CRYING?! lmao!
