Where do we stand in the division?

    NE - 4-2 (1&1 in the division)
    Jets - 3-3 (1&2 in the division)
Miami- 2&3 (2-0 in the division)
    Buffalo - 2&4 (1-2 in the division)

I don't know if I've got that exactly right, but NFL.com hasn't updated their standings.

Are we in third because the Jets overall record is better than ours eve though we have more wins against them in the division?

Also, what's the deal with BUF playing well against NE that one game and playing well against the Jests? Are they really the  Bills or do we need to be concerned about them just a tiny bit?

We beat Buffalo 38-10. I'm not worried about them.

I think that would put us .5 games behind the Jets but don't quote me.

They are very weak, where we are very strong. But being in the same division, one can never take a division foe lightly.

We will most likely be looking at 2-4 next week with that passing attack and our secondary. So we may very well be in the basement of the division.
I wouldn't put too much credence in the division race right now, but there is no doubt we will have a hole to climb out of.

I don't think so. They scored 45 points before halftime and I don't have a problem with it.

Now if they kept scoring and airing it out with their starters in during the 2nd half then I would have a problem with it.

I never like to look at a game that way. Hopefully we can keep them off the field like we did to Manning, only this time prevent those extremely quick scores.

Don't overlook the fact we've had an extra week to prepare, that can be huge.

we control our own destiny. We are 2-0 in our division. If we go 6-0 we win the division, if we go 5-1 we have a good chance of winning our division. If we go 4-2 New Englend probably wins the division. We have to sweep the Jets and Bills no excuses

I can see us sweeping the Jets. Did you see how bad Sanchez played at his home field? He cannot even play well in his own teams homefield due to the conditions. Henne is used to the conditions that Sanchez will be playing in. So right there the advantage goes to us.

I know that the Giants are a team to reckon with... but in another view...

They kind of sqeaked by Washington, IMO, with a fumble return for a TD...
    and Washington is 2-4 currently...

They beat Dallas, and one thing we have found out that Dallas is talented but inconsistant... their record being 3-2...the Giants had to come back in the 4th quarter to win it...

They beat an 0-6 Tampa team....

They beat a 1-5 KC team...

The beat a 2-4 oakland team...

So the Giants opponents are 8-21 this season... I guess its the way we look at the results...

Anyways do't want to take anything away from NO, they are a great team, they were awsome Offensively last season also and went 8-8, because their D was offensive...

Now for NO...great Offensive team...defensive??? they are average and can play above average at times... why do I think average? they are allowing 20 points per game, so an Offense that can score 30+ points per game on avergare can win all its games...but...

All the NO games have been won to great production from their Offfensive personnel, which to me are better than the Colts (minus Manning)...

You win a game like this by keeping playing TOP, and scoring when all opportunities arise...

They have not played an Run orientated Offensive team like the Phins this year, though the Giants were suppose to be better Offensively than us... their gameplay did not show it...

The Saints squeaked by the Bills in the 4th quarter of their game and they also sqeaked by the Jets with their 2 turn overs for TDs...NO Offense scored only 10 points that day...

every Superman has their Kryptonite, just like football teams...

The Wilcat is our Superweapon and until someone finds a way to slow it down, we will continue to use it... until Henne gets into a nice rythm at QB and can complement our running attack...

Our Offense has the chance to be a "2-Headed Monster," and could be labeled as the team of "Henne and the Wilcats" soon enough...

    Live from the Internet.
I think the opening drive will be huge for offense and D.
If we win the toss, we should accept the ball, hopefully put a long drive together and score. If we get the ball back with Saints putting up 3 or less, we should be able to grind the ball. Their D never played catch up this year. And tehre is first time for everything

I think if we can step up the pass rush and not give Drew Brees all freaking day in the pocket we can keep the passing game somewhat manageable. We've got good corners, my only scare is, still, at Safety.

I think it's going to come down to the tight end play again. We have proven consistently that we'll get gashed by a TE who can catch. We've given up some big plays to good receivers, but we consistently blow coverage up the middle. So long as we can either step up play, or don't have to worry about that problem for this game we might be able to control things.

overall record trumps everything.. You could be 6-0 ni the division, but if you lose the rest of your ten games and finish 6-10, your not going anywhere

Division record is only used as a tie breaker. Overall record is most important.
