Do you think Teams that might look to trade will be pushed to by bad games today?

With the Dolphins on a Bye week today..I sat watching TV this morning wondering if teams who might trade some of thier players might be more inclined to do so if they do not play well today?

Do teams like the Browns..Chiefs..Raiders..Rams..Bucs..etc..be more inclined to trade away players that they might be on the fence about if after today they see the season as being lost?

Do you get players cheaper that way or do they ask for more?

Do the Browns change thier mind about Cribbs and deal him?
Do the Chiefs give up on Bowe?
Does Jacksonville get rid of a player like Sims-Walker?

Just wondering on this rainy cold day in NY with no Dolphin game to watch

I think all teams have the same outlook on potential trades.... I don't think this game will change Mangini's mind. If the right deal is offered, he'd take it to continue to build his team his way, right or wrong. I don't think Al Davis is thinking "Well, if we lose one more, we're likely out of things, so maybe I'll trade away for the future"....at his age and health, the future is now anyway. That may be over-simplifying things, but I think if a team is open to trading someone or a team is offered a deal they think will benefit them, they'll make the trade. The issue with the NFL trade deadline is that it really comes too early in the season to compare it to MLB or NHL deadlines...there just isn't going to be as much activity for this deadline compared to the others.

On the other hand, it is possible that due the projected uncapped year it may have a different effect on personnel decisions and we may see more activity than in past years. Just a guess, I don't know the nuances of the particular teams financial status to really know, but it's possible that some teams, that otherwise wouldn't have, will jump into the trade foray in the next 2 days...

As to the Fins, I don't think that the staff is so enamored with our defensive situation to be giving up on Roth. I think he'll be back, in the fold and at least spelling JT and eventually the roles will be reversed for those guys, utilizing each's strengths in regard to down and distance...

    not to worry
    useless but entertaining to speculate
    the FrontOffice has a blueprint
they will make the right decision

personally, I don't see anything on the horizon
too much talent @ home to develop and exploit

I was not even just talking about Dolphin related trades. Also league wide.

I hope the rest of the league makes many very bad last minute decisions

the most viable trade for us is with KC for Bowe .... we give up CAM and let them keep the conditional pick they owe us for Alleman and Ndukwe ....

    Definitely agree.

If there's one trade we NEED to make it's the Bowe trade. I'm just hoping they're interested in Roth and that's why we haven't heard anything about it.

Tuesday afternoon it'll go down. lol.
