If tuesday comes and goes without a trade being made what does that tell you about this season? Obviously if there isn't a fair deal to be made we can not hold them accountable, however if we see some moves from some teams to pick up a stud wideout, or defensive secondary player and we dont make the move will you feel cheated? I honestly don't think we will make a HUGE trade we might do something but acquiring a premier wideout or safety i think is off our list (or should I say the front offices). Do you think they see this season as a season we "honestly" cant win the super bowl so why trade and just address the needs in the offseason?
Yeah I don't expect the Dolphins to make a big trade because it seems like the front office would rather keep their draft picks and build through the draft.
agree, the Fins are going to be built through the draft... for the most part. I think the trifecta are willing to make value type trades but they are not going to give a high pick for anyone (IMO). I mean, have they given up anything more then a 4th round pick on any trade? and that was for Fasano and AKin A. two starters.
It says that we have a competent Front Office with a plan and aren't anxious to hit the panic switch.
We need a number one wideout, that is obvious. So why wouldnt our FO trade a 2nd rounder for Bowe if he is a guranteed young stud when we might take a chance on a rookie in next years draft? I hope if bowe is out there for trade, we aquire him because if we do, we just became a dangerous offense.
I hate that about the NFL, so much tentativeness. Granted most of the baseball trades involve people from perpetual "minor league" teams in the last year of a deal, not something the NFL can afford. But really, if theres a deal that makes sense, go make it! The way teams hold their draft picks can be almost comical. You cant possibly tell me that a second round player is worth more than Dwayne Bowe would be. Now thats not to say I want to see us raked over the coals and paying out the *** for someone, but if there is a fair and equitable deal, pull the damn trigger. And imo I say that for all teams, not just Miami.
there's no way to know. we may try desperately to get a trade going but no one wants what we're asking for or what we're selling. or, we may not be interested in anything. who knows...
And if we make a trade it will because we are acquiring good value, if we don't make one then no big deal, they appear to know what the heck they are doing.
D'oh! Like I said, vaguely, and wrongly... lol A 5th for Thigpen, don't know why I thought a 3rd... My bad.
I realize that I'm in the minority here but I don't feel that Bowe is a guaranteed young stud. He's been inconsistent and has only shown flashes. I'd hate to give anything more than a 45th for the guy honestly as I feel he has a lot of CC in him.
I think if the Fins don't make a trade, it would say there wasn't an upgrade to be made. Basically, why trade part B(WR) for part B(WR) if you need Part A(Bowe) and he's not available. You dont make trades to make trades or send messages. You make trades to Improve. Really, Only Bowe and Cribbs would improve us-- and Cribbs just became more expensive with his Kick Return for a TD tonight.
I hope we dont trade. if the FO stays put that has to mean Parcells is staying atleast 1 moer yr. to build on the draft....right? I mean Parcells never just ups and leaves at random on a team.....
