I'd be more impressed if we were 4-1 instead of 2-3...besides, who really cares what they've done...what matter is what they do from here on out....we'll see. Unorthodox or not, get it done guys...
Sparano said some time ago.. it is not our purpose to just win, we want to dominate.. impose our will upon the other team. This is the beginning.. and I am jazzed big time.. as Larry said^^ "get it done guys..."
Lets see how good we do against the saints before we start calling them out,Saints are playing some pretty good football.
although they havent faced a physical team that we are so far this year, it will end today when they play the giants though, nothing better then taking care of your bumps and bruises and knowing you play us in 7 days
I am warming up to Stephen Ross, a few buddies of mine were at the last game and they all said it was the loudest Fins game they've ever been to. They even started a J.E.T.S SUCK SUCK SUCK chant.
The same way we played the Colts, minus the mistakes that cost us the game. Run the ball to keep Brees off the field and control the clock.
Agreed Gitrdone. We need to control the clock, ala successful execution of the running game. Win the turn over battle. And, minimize (or eliminate) the big plays by Brees & Co. It will mean a virtually perfect game for us, and a few mistakes by the Saints, but it can happen. Go Phins!
Who do I start in Fantasy Next Week? Farve vs. whoever, Brees vs. Our Phins, or Henner vs. Da Saints. I'm not too enthralled with my matchups next week.
my buddy has brees and he benched him today and missed out on 4 tds and over 300 yards. he plans to start him next week against the fins.
To me the Wildcat, or whatever you want to call it, gives us the best opportunity of winning. We don't have a #1 Wide Receiver and I think our defense is still gelling, so by running the ball out of this system, we can normally control the clock and have some long drives. You don't want to give Brees too much time controlling the ball....the team just needs to remember to play defense which they forgot to do against the Colts. I think we are adding new options and wrinkles to the Wildcat so teams will never be able to think they can shut us down. I like that Parcells, Soprano and our coaching stuff believes the team can be different and still win. You are now seeing other coaches trying to copy the Wildcat.......but most of them don't have the personnel or patience to stick with it.
