For those of you who dont have this GIF. I suggest right clicking and saving this bad boy. My favorite catch, EVER.
The best catch ever? Pfft... It's not even the best catch Orande ever made. The one hander lander against Oakland was even better. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa3iU1fOffY"]YouTube - Oronde Gadsden Catch Vs. Raiders[/ame] Clearly Jay Fiedler's best friend was Orande Gadsden.
My only claim to fame is that I was at the game of the OP catch. 3 things make it the best ever: 1. It was going to be a pick. 2. Unless you saw it live, you've no idea just how freaking fast that throw and catch was. 3. It was against the Jets, and we broke their streak of wins of against us.
I love both catches, but i think the one i posted is more ridiculous. He caught it with his fingertips. That was a bullet pass. Either way. The lesson of the day is that Orande Gadsden has the best hands of all time.
That's what i like to see on the Dolphins....FEARLESS players. I know I have a bias but at the end of the day, I feel Ricky is the only fearless offensive player we have on the team. Ronnie will shake and juke his way to gain the extra yards whereas Ricky will just pummel through a guy.
those clips make me think we should try to convert sean smith to receiver during the bye week. he has great hands like that. he already has a one handed pick in the preseason and one last year in college. both were in the end zone too. then we could have davis and allen starting corner. plus it would be an awesome story for smith: went to college as a receiver. switched to corner to help his team. got drafted in the 2nd round as a corner. then switched back to receiver and led his team. the only thing that would make that story better is if he still played as a great corner on top of that.
check these out #2 is crazy and #1 is almost unbelievable [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRH58LLzu8U"]YouTube - Top 5 catches in Football History[/ame]
Wow best catch ever, we've been lucky to have so many. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...n-camarillo-doesnt-know-how-he-caught-it.html http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-dolphinsteammarks07,0,4271641.story Now that was one heck of a catch!!
dont ever say that about ronnie again. thanks. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQlPhDLNnYU&feature=related"]YouTube - The Best Of Ronnie Brown[/ame]
The Raiders catch and the Jets catch are both in the hall of fame. If I recall correctly, the Jets catch wasn't even intended for him. He had a tight end deeper down the field that he was gunning for and Gadsden just swiped it out of the air. I remember watching on tv and the cameraman almost missed it from the sideline view. There was no way that he should have caught that ball.
And just which game did he show that while he was breaking our contract and spending our money smoking pot did he show you all of this so called fearlessness? Amen my brother!!
Dude, Ronnie is a bruiser. He has a unique ability to dance through the line but once he's in the secondary he punishes those who try to stop him from getting in the end zone.
Maybe my memory is hazy, but I don't remember Gadsden dropping many. You're thinking of Chambers maybe? I know his injury in 02 against Denver was the beginning of the end that year.
No. It was Gadson. I remember he was complaining about money, we cut him and then picked him back up the same year. Maybe I just remember the bad plays because I didn't like him.
We can say that about ronnie too, overpaid and finally now showing flashes did you ever look at his contract numbers . why all the back and forth about ronnie and ricky i will never get.
Not sure why people didnt like him he made plays ,I could not believe it either ,,,what a catch I wonder what he doing these days ?
have often wondered about Patick Turner in relation to Oronde Gadsden if he had the toughness to dominate the RedZone in a simular manner, it would be awesome hope he gets some playing time soon, he just might be the sleeper the 2009 season
