Another weapon for Henne, but Ginn will also have to run other routes as well to really be all that he could be for the Dolphins.

And Sparano has said he will also return kicks, or he might be returning kicks, anyone who listens to Sparano knows he sort of says things without saying things.

But good for TG, he had a heck of alot of people down on him for the dropitz against the Colts, good to see he can bounce back and come up big.

Yeah it was my favorite play of the game and hope to see more plays like that in the future. Hopefully Ginn can use this as a confidence booster to get his season back on track.

On that long TD, Ginn transformed from punt returner/wide receiver Steve Smith into playmaker/game changer Steve Smith. Yes I called him Steve Smith. The hunger is growing. Ginn is growing a chip on his shoulders. Having the whole world against you will do that to a man.

Ginn ran really nice routes against Indy. And that route vs. NY was sick. hopefully he progresses as the season unfolds. At the very least, there is no reason for him not to be a deep threat. Not many guys are going to be able to keep up with his 4.2 speed.

I also hate that Ginn is not the KR/PR. The guy ran back 3 in 07 and if it wasn't for penalties on the other side of the field, they all would of counted.

Yeah you are right the last touchdown was probably better because it sealed the game but the deep pass to Ginn just really surprised me.

Maybe...just maybe...Ginn will finally be the deep threat he was supposed to be because we finally got a QB that can actually throw the deep ball.

What was weird for me was when that ball went in the air it was the first time since Marino that it felt like it was going to be complete...usually I hold my breath waiting to exhale and say "****"..not this time.

Honestly Zeke, I do not recall another Qb throwing a deep pass, not really, Beck hit Ginn on a 50yd play in Philly in 07, other than that it is a 8 yr progression of Chambers dropping passes and Felder's lollipops.

C-Pepe was not really in Miami long enough, but just as a whole, no Qb in years has been able to do that for us.

If Ginn does little more than taking the other team's best corner out of the play, it'll be an advantage we didn't really enjoy with Penny. I see more PIs being called for us rather than against us now that we have a QB with a canon capable of reaching one of the fastest men in football who just outran a supposed lockdown corner.

I know the feeling. I havent felt that way since Marino. When it dropped in his hands in full stride I was ready to cry. It was like a decade's worth of futility had been erased in one pass

2 tickets to Jets vs. Miami on Monday Night - $300
Parking a mile away in a dirt field - $30
    14 beers and 2 hot dogs - $90
Watching Henne hit Ginn in stride for a 53 yard touchdown - PRICELESS

that was a great play, no doubt ... but all it really did was confirm what TG is ... a speedy WR who can catch the ball if you hit him

Steve Smith ... ridiculous ... let's see TG get hungry and learn to go get the ball

no has ever doubted that TG could do what he did on MON ... it's all the things he is not doing ... and will never do that he gets knocked for.

we all know and can appreciate what TG is ... but there are still a lot of folks that believe he is or can be something he just plain isn't.

Terry Glenn he is .... Steve Smith he isn't ..

.... and they're still around if you know where to look

Ginn still slowed up a bit for that long ball, which tells you how badly he REALLY smoked Revis.

You have hit the nail on the head. I wish with all complaing I have done about TG, I could have put it like that. Good post.

Great seeing you here Vaark, do post more  As for Ginn, I hope it continues. The threat of a deep pass will keep defenses honest and you will start to see 8 in the box less after each game. Get a true #1 to compliment Ginn and our offense could be elite.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Steve Smith breaks tackles and makes plays, Ginn does not. He is what he is, a dangerous deep threat. As much as I love Ginn, people make him out to be something he just isn't.

agree, it was a real sign or what could be in the passing game
    however
he needs to run all the routes with excellence to be an elite WR
not just make an occasional deep pass
& he needs to be a weapon on special teams:
consistent good field positioning is more important
    than the occasional deep pass
GinnJr came with the promise to do both

no more excuses. time to step up & simply do it

That play boosted his confidence, which is something he had lost, now he's got to do it more consistantly.
