Look we know Parcells has a real good relationship with Al Davis and obviously we know his Son-In-Law is the Cheifs GM Scott Pioli. The Fins have already struck three deals with the Cheifs so trading to the Chiefs again would not surprise me. Im Miami and I send Roth and a pick for Bowe. Bowe is not in the elite talk yet, but the kid is sick. I hope Miami stirkes a deal.

Johnnie Higgins would cost less than Bowe and strengthens kick and punt returns.

Bowe also drops passes and had some discipline issues during Camp.

Minor Discipline issues I'm not worried about... this regime will break him if need be.

As much as I'd like to see Roth stay, I think his odd injury issue are going to make him a write off for the Trifecta. I could see them bringing Wake in full time on the Strong side next season, and if JT is still around, maybe put JP 75%, JT 25% on pass rush situations on the weak side.

Losing someone we haven't had all year, and a mid to early round pick for someone who could be a #1 receiver would be worth it for us... might not be worth it for the Chiefs though.

Of my head I think of several recievers I think can come to Miami via trade. Here is the list:
Dwayne Bowe - Seems like everyone is for sale in KC
Lee Evan - He could be available
Johnnie Lee Higgins - Excellent KR, but rumors are he is playing scared
    Roscoe Parrish - Excellent KR
Chris Henry - Doubt it, but who knows

I would love to add Bowe to this team.

The thing about him that would mesh so well with the Dolphins is his nose for the endzone. On some terrible KC teams his touchdown totals are as follows: 5 in 2007 (rookie year), 7 in 2008 and already 3 in 2009 (and he was inactive in their Week 3 game against Philly).

The guy would be a tremendous pickup for us.

Roth for Bowe straight-up would be a steal!

    Roth is WORTHLESS.
We've done a great job "setting the edge" without him. JT can play the run just as good as Roth plus he can actually rush the passer.

I dont know the Dolphins are coming of a huge win, they know they need help at WR and entering a bye week. If a deal is done before next week you have a week for the player to get comfortable. Also if Bowe is the guy KC offense is very similiar to Miami. Plus you have already traded three times with KC. Im Parcells and I call the Son-in-Law.

Well, if we assume that a deal for Bowe is made, it would be better to do it "now" than to wait so he would have the benefit of a week and half of practice.

why.. we have receivers right now that have never had their full potentual explored because Penny wasn't able. Henne was 20-26.. our receivers are getting open enough for his arm and some of them will now grow further with the qb.

We have no red zone threat.....no one that can shake a tackle and gain YAC.

We have the speed guy in Ginn and the chain movers in Cam and Bess, we're missing the big physical, play maker. I promise you, if and when we get one, Henne and this offense will be a top 5 power house in the league for years to come.

But we need to do it now, while this running game is still in tact.

Henne was targeting Fasano against the Jets.

As for YAC, eh, what is a good YAC number to begin with? Greg C may not have many but he certainly is a reliable play maker.

This I agree, with, but don't, we still do not know what Hartline or Turner can do, and I'd hate to get into the habit of burning up draft choices without knowing.

Interesting stat JS...the Jets have drafted 13 players in 3 seasons, with 3 last season, sooner or later that will catch up to them.

The Oline is really the key there, they are locked up for awhile, to me we should pull the trigger only "if" the deal is right, and the player can pay dividends over this 3 game stretch, once we are past the Saints/Jets/Pats our schedule becomes much easier.

To me, that would mean Bowe, or Higgins, or even TO...whichever is cheaper and can contribute the soonest.

One thing is for sure, if they make a trade for someone who can play like Edwards played for the Jets last night, consistently, the only thing keeping us from a superbowl is that shoddy safety play. And so far even with that we've held our own against some pretty great offenses (minus the Atlanta embarassment).

Louis Murphy of the Raiders would be my choice.

We should have taken him over Pat Turner.

And why no thoughts of a Tight End?

Well any YAC at all would be an improvement. Every week we see highlights of a WR making a catch and shaking a tackle and taking it to the house or at least for a big gain or nice extra yardage. But how often does that happen for us? And Cam is more of a chain mover than play maker....

I honestly believe that hoping that either of these guys ever being anything more than what we already have, "complimentary WR's", is wishful thinking.

Yes it will.....and I believe that using a 3 and 4 last draft on complimentary WR's, was a mistake on our part. That doesn't mean we have to settle when the need for a play maker is as great as it is for us.

    I agree

I'd like to see this Sheets kid return some kicks for us first before I would wanna give up any picks for Higgins....

TO?.....he'd have to be cheap....really cheap because he would basically be an 11 game rental. Plus playoffs if we make it that far...

Bowe? I'd give a 2nd, Roth and Turner for that guy right now....

He's "developed" already, which is huge....

Ricky did have that 59 yd catch and run...

Hartline just caught a TD last week, we rotate Wr in to often to really have just "a #1 Wr" we have multiple packages something that anyone we traded for would have to fit into that system.

Hartline has made that adjustment, Turner has not, but either way every Wr on the roster is "complimentary".

    See Above.

Depends on the price, Higgins has shown what he can do, but old man Davis can be loopy.

Exactly, and that is what makes him intriguing to me, it would be clear he is a rental, he would have to come cheaply, and the Bills are sort of stuck with him.

Roth cannot be traded this year, apparently it is 6 games, not 6 weeks, that pushes him past the Oct 20th deadline, he will be a Dolphin this year, or cut.

He has dropped 20 passes or more.

Why would they let Dwayne Bowe go? I don't understand how KC would benefit unless its for a 2nd + a player who can benefit right away.

Are they giving up on Patrick Turner already? Dwayne Bowe + Turner would be redundant. I'd rather have Bowe (Vs) Turner, for the record. I guess a 2nd, Roth and Turner for Bowe might be reasonable.

when it comes to a game changing, team altering WR like dwayne bowe....who imo is way better than braylon edwards.....and drops less balls......

my opinion is they are like homerun hitters in baseball.....like an adam dunn.....he strikes out a ton....but also has 35 HRs, 500 slugging % and 120 rbi's.....

you take the drops with the playmaking abilities....he will open up one on ones for ginn (omg!!!!) and opens the field for more drags, inside routs by TEs and bess, camarillo

getting him would be gigantic imo

    Padre, padre padre.....lol

That was a screen pass to a RB.....that fact only magnifies my point

You put a guy like Dwayne Bowe on the roster and we won't be stuck in that position.....we do that because we lack a WR that you just can't take off the field.

Agreed.....but I'd rather concentrate on a big, physical WR than KR.
    What's cheap enough to you?

Dang, last time I invite you to my party :pity:

Ok then, our 1st and Turner....yes I said "1st"..it's THAT important.

Watch the highlight vid SICK provided......the only thing he was dropping was tacklers.

If we're going to trade with the Chiefs I would rather we trade for ILB Derrick Johnson. I think he would be a solid addition and we may be able to get him cheap. He's banged up a bit right now but they have Demorrio Williams playing there right now. He's not the best blitzer but he can cover RBs and TEs

Right on. Henne's ability to hit the home run and make all the throws will help the group we have now. That being said, I still wouldn't mind a true #1 WR. Problem is, there won't be one available for trade. And if there was one available, the price would be too high for our regime to bite. And, IMO, Bowe isn't the guy unless, as someone suggested earlier, we can get Bowe for Roth straight up.
