I got one more on Cameron Wake everyone should like: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphi...08cameron_wake.html?cxtype=rsscxsvc=7cxcat=46
Well Kirwin and Ryan visited dolphins Training Camp they mentioned there was an odd formation with Wake standing up at OLB with JT down in a three point stance, which forces the blocking scheme to decide which player they want to double team. but Wake on the speed rushing arc with JT or JP running a twist underneath his arc is likely to be passrushing GOLD. not to mention if they are doing that out on the edges, Merling and Starks and Langford will face man on man blocking making their lives much easier..
This is going to be nice. Three linebackers coming at the quarterback. Who are you going to stop? This is going to be fun to watch!!
only thing is wake hasnt brought that speed to the LB position yet, he's slow coming out of a 2 pt. stance compared to the DE 3pt.
All Wake has to do from the Lb position is be competent, he stands up while JP or JT take a 4 point stance to give the Oline a headache on blocking assignments, Wake's style is different from JT, whose style is different from JP, the Oline has to plan for each player coming from an up or down stance and then plan how to block them if they twist or stunt. Heck, on passrushing downs we could see Wake and JT playing as DE's with JP moving back and forth behind each of them, that would cause nightmares for blocking schemes. DC Pasqualoni must feel like Christmas came early as long as JP is healthy.
the Triad of Terror: Taylor,Porter & Wake the Triad is no news to me called that one when Parcells showed an interest in acquiring Wake they will be the scourge of QB's throughout the NFL, a pass rushing legend within a season of play
"Determination," he said, "because if you don't have the desire to get to the quarterback it doesn't matter what kind of skills you have." Love that. Great attitude. Shows his determination.
Couldn't agree more. You know he "gets it". Can't wait to see this guy explode on the scene, i think his attitude, mentors and his determination and skill will make him a feared player by opposing teams. I don't think last week was a fluke or a measurement of a weak opponent. I think Wake has the tools to give any blocker fits and before long QB's will be watching to see where he is on ever passing snap.
