With a 2-0 division record would be a HUGE momentum shifter for this team. I don't like saying it....but this is a must win game. I expect to see blood out there come Monday night.

We need this win, we need it more now than ever, cause once we get out of our bye, we get the Saint's at home and then go back up to NY. Id rather get our win at home and go for the knock out in Giant's Stadium!!!!

Wow, overlooking the Jets and heading straight to the next opponent (the bye).

Tuesday morning is going to be tough if South Florida.

The Saints are gonna be a very very tough matchup.

We knew it was a brutal schedule before the season started. Just have to start Monday Night and go from there

I don't see how we are looking past the Jets. It looks as if we are hopeful with words like "would be" and "must win".

I could understand if the we were saying, "Man we have to beat the Saints to keep our playoff hopes alive.". Until the scoreboard reaches 00:00 and we are in the lead, I am keeping my mouth shut.

    NOT AT ALL...

That is why, as much as it hurt, the loss to the Saints was great for this team. I didn't want the 4-0 Jets going into a MNF against the 0-4 Dolphins, that would have been bad.

As it is, it is a gut check for the entire team and my guess is they will come out of that loss and reek havoc on the next 4 teams (Dolphins/Bills/Raiders/Dolphins) going into the bye.

You should be. I live in New Orleans and watch all their games (albeit with one eye at a sportsbar when they're on at the same time as Miami).

Fans are allowed to look ahead. We don't have to take it "one game at a time". Because we don't play!

Not as rough as it will be in NY when you go home 3-2 and realize that the pounding you just got is coming back to finish you off 3 weeks later.

bull****. you would much rather be in the position of 4-0 vs. 0-4 then the one your in now. that makes no sense at all. if you lost that game vs. us you would still be 4-1 and we would be 1-4. where as now you have to win for that, or were only 1 game back of you if we win. plus its the Dolphins-Jets. records never matter. each team would be equally ready for this game at 4-0 as they would be 0-4, 1-3, or 3-1. doesnt matter.

Funny, we lose this game and we are still ahead of you with a playoff shot, you WIN this game and you are still behind us with no shot....

    Here is your remaining schedule:

    L - Falcons
    L - Colts
    L - Chargers
    W - Bills
    - Jets (?)
    - Saints (L)
    - Jets (L) - Home again
    - Patriots (L) - Wildcat can't get you that win
    - Bucs (W) - Smack down
    - Panthers (W) - You could do this one
    - Bills (L) - Up in Buffalo, not gonna win.
    - Patriots (L) - Nope
    - Jags (W) - Sure
    - Titans (L) - Not there.
    - Texans (L) - They will be fighting for a playoff spot.
    - Steelers (L) - Not gonna happen.

So you win on Monday, and still go 5-11, maybe get all the way up to 7-9.

you do realize that your post lives forever in the internet, dont you? anything you say, can and will be thrown back in your face. let's not tread on the Jets too much. It will only fuel their victorious rampage even further...making the week leading up to the next jets game pure hell for Dolphins fans.

May the best team win. And by that, I mean Miami.

Hey, the Jets are not going 16-0.

I rather lose to a good NFC team, on the road and get fired up to beat the bad, AFC teams.

    Crazy?

Nice... well done.. you should work for ESPN.

Loss to the bills in Buffalo? Did you see what we did to them on Sunday? I mean seriously, that's definitely not a write off loss by any means.

The titans too? Really? The titans are looking like garbage, again saying it's a definite loss is getting your hopes up.

The Texans are also looking like crap too, I doubt they'll be fighting for anything but pride.

And honestly unless an in division team is playing like garbage, I don't write them off as a double win or a double loss. I think we can at worst break even with the Pats, Jets, and Bills.

Bottom line to this story is that if we beat the Jets Monday night, we could potentially win any of our games in division. And if that's the case, your whole little win/loss prediction chart goes out the window.

    It's "wreak havoc," Einstein.

Then again...since it concerns the Jets, "reek" is appropriate word usage.

I will take it on the "or" better part... How about... if the Dolphins are 9-7 or better in 2009, you own my sig here and at JN for regular season 2010 (sept-dec), otherwise, I own yours (and no crashingjet crap either).

50% owners. Kinda like selling parts of our team to sudo-celebrities. Well, not really.

Only further proves my point that losing Monday is going to make Tuesday morning suck double for you guys ;)

We'll just have to see how it plays out. Hopefully your players are taking the game seriously for their/your sake.

makes about as much sense as saying that miami will lose to the Jets and Bills simply because of where the game is played. Last time I checked Miami swept their division road games last year.

More of a reflection of the fans, who can't fill the stadium. That is why the owner (a NYer) has to try publicity stunts like selling off parts of the team to minority celebrity stars.

I'll bet you we will have a better record than you by the end of the year? You haven't even really dominated anyone yet. Titans are terrible, Houston is Terrible and you scrapped by and beat New England at home.

The good news is you are used to having fast starts and fading by the end of the year, but what will your excuse be this year?

    It is all good...

I like my "rival" weeks with the AFC East teams.... before the Bills/Patriots/Dolphins games I always go hang out on the other boards, talk a little smack, try to keep some things on point (hard sometimes) and generally get geared up for the game.

I will come back here and take my licking if the Jets lose and come back with a few "nudge nudge, wink winks" if we win. There are some choice threads to bump come Tuesday morning.

NOTE: I am flying out of Miami on Tuesday morning, early... so win/lose if I don't get back in here till Wednesday afternoon, don't go crazy with "BZ is a puss".
