Okay so this is very early but this game is already circled on my calendar next Sunday. First of all its expected that NE would be 3-1 but for Denver to be 4-0 that is a shocker. Add to that Kyle Orton actually playing well this season and Denver being at home and you have the makings of a great game. McDaniels and Belichick know each other very well which will also make the game close. I think this game can very well come down to home field advantage. Also NE right now appears to be catching on but Denver is sneaky good. My prediction: I expect NE to pull this one out like they did against Buffalo and Baltimore (both of which they should have lost) however I am going to play a weird hunch and go with my heart and not my brain and say: Denver wins: 31-27...on a final drive.
I think you mean McDaniels by the way not Childress. It's going to be interesting. If Marshall shows up the way he did today, I don't think the Patriots can contain him. DEN win in my opinion.
I don't think the Patriots will finish better than 10-6 this season honestly. I like Kyle Orton as a QB more than I probably should, and I can see Denver winning this game by a wide margin.
I agree with all said but doesn't it seem NE has that swagger back where they can just win no matter what?
Champ Baily on Randy Moss will be a good matchup. Denvers D is the best in the league atm I think, and have held both the Bengals and Cowboys to low point totals. They have some staying power I think. The Pats are definitely back to catching lucky breaks (and getting ref favor blatantly ...) but they still appear shaky to me.
When your best move is to reclaim a 40 year old from retirement, nah, Denver wins this one hands down!
Tough call that one. But.... Denver has given up a grand total of 26 points in four games. That is avg of 6.5 points per game. The most interesting thing, IMO though is that no one knows Tom Brady the QB better than Josh McDaniel. He was the QB coach from 04-08 And OC (as well) from 06-08. If anyone knows how to beat Brady, it's McDaniel.
Denver will win IF no one touches brady from his helmet down. They gave us showtime free because I complained to direct tv and I get to see the nfl show with collingsworth. They showed the film of that big baby telling the refs to call a penalty on the defender for barely touching his leg. I like the big black guys take on the play, can't remember his name right off. I really don't care for Phil Simms tho'.
For what it's worth, Josh McDaniel also broke down film to start off his career with the Patriots on each of the players on the team and he picked out plays with Belichick.
I have no freaking idea what to think about this game. I totally did not believe in Denver AT ALL. They shut me the hell up last week. I hope they can beat Belicheck and the Pats down, but I hate seeing McDaniels succeed.
Eric Mangini left me with a hatred towards the Belichick coaching branch. I saw video of McDaniels coaching, and if he were my superior, I'd have no respect. He looks like a dork and sounds like a dork. As an athlete, I wouldn't be able to take him seriously.
