Anyone else see the series premiere last night?

Wow, cool idea (of course it is because it's from LOST:wink2:), very well executed, good storylines, I'm hooked.

For the Lost fans out there, Sonya Walger (Penny) and Dominic Monahan (Charlie) are both in this show. And they even gave a shout out to Lost with an Oceanic Airlines billboard in one scene.

The pilot was badass. I'm interested in where they're going to take this show.

Motion, have you caught all the Lost refrences? They really ott with them... Kinda weird considering there is no relation between the two shows. They're trying real hard to bring Lost's fanbase over. As long as the show remains as good as the pilot, I'll be watching.

Just watched the pilot for this show on Hulu (I couldn't watch it last week because I was camping). All I can say is WOW ... the is probably the best new drama I've seen since Heroes ... and quite honestly I thought it was quite a bit better than that.

[ame="http://www.hulu.com/watch/97929/flashforward-no-more-good-days"]Hulu - FlashForward: No More Good Days - Watch the full episode now.@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.hulu.com/embed/bINUf9Im4Zn3rWF6EKEpxw@@AMEPARAM@@bINUf9Im4Zn3rWF6EKEpxw[/ame]

I love David Goyer's writing, and this is really no diffferent ... to me it feels a bit like Jericho with some Lost thrown in.

I'm glad I made the decision to check this out so I can keep up. There's a million different places they could take this show. I can't wait to see tonight's episode.

What does either one of those shows have to do with the actor sounding like Duke Nukem?

Another great episode last night. I'm really interested to see how these 2 guys avoided, or caused, the blackout. Although I will say the answer to that question has serious jump the shark potential.

I think the father of the kid (Olivia/Penny's future lover) is a little shady.

His actions in her flash forward are fishy and if you watch, there's some sort of light that flashes behind him when he's turning his head to look at Olivia/Penny in the 2nd episode. I gotta watch it again, but I don't trust this guy.

Good show but episode 2 kinda lost its momentum from the first IMO.

This was my thought too. I think the majority of the action is/was in the pilot in terms of seeing the carnage and chaos that can occur in just over two minutes if something like that were to happen. Things I never thought about like the helicopters and planes falling, etc. etc.

It almost makes me feel that this should be a mini series or a movie, as opposed to episodic televsion, but I am willing to keep going forward (pun) provided they keep bringing the awesome.

I like the concept and thought that the first two episodes were extremely well done. is a cop/sci-fi drama series which can either be really good (as it has been ) or really bad (which it has the potential to be). I just hope that the entire season/series has been written out in advance so that the continuity and sustainability is there. I mean, beyond the six month timeframe they have given us, I don't see how the show can grow past it.

Almost like how Prison Break turned awful after they...well, broke out.

But I kind of hope that a lot of these visions start to come together to show a bigger picture of events, which I am sure they will.

    Great start.

Saw the first 2 episodes online yesterday and was very impressed. I agree with the people that said it might have a limited life. I can't see how this show lasts for more than 1 or 2 seasons max without either getting boring (because the writers are dragging the story out) or jumping shark and going in a different direction. Of course there can always be more 'flash forwards' but it might start to get a bit silly.

The only thing I don't like about the show is having Harold/America Pie MILF guy as part of the FBI. He just seems too young and of course seeing those movies it's hard to take him seriously but I'm trying. I know a lot of people don't really like the lead actor but I don't mind him.

And I agree with Motion, the reason behind the black out could be a total jump shark moment and could absolutely kill the show. Hopefully it's going to be something good, you'd have to think the writers had a good idea of it or why even bother making the show in the first place.

I thought Thursday's episode was good but kind of slow as everything that didn't focus on the main FBI guy seems like it wasn't very important. I did think that guy in Germany would have had a bigger role or had a better story.

I will say I think the FBI girl that sees a baby in her flashforward will be knocked up by either the main FBI guy or Harold/American Pie MILF guy. If it is the main FBI guy it could be the reason him and Penny from Lost break up and he starts drinking again.

I love how I can't remember any of the character's names for whatever reason.

Was it just me, or did that look like an airborne mushroom cloud?

Also about Thursday's episode, loved the nod to John Cho's (Dmitri, FBI guy) past when he tripped over the bong and said something like "I know what that is."

i really enjoyed the first episode and the main idea of the show but since then there really hasnt been any "holy crap" moments that would keep me into it. the second and third eps were kinda slow for me and im not really getting into any of the characters but ill give atleast to next weeks ep before hanging it up for good.

i've seen all 3 shows and i'm ready to predict the ending.

The blackout was caused by the suspects traveling in time. The blackout is the point that they traveled back to in the past. The visions people saw were actually in the present. By traveling in time, the suspects altered something that changed the future. By changing the future, the memories and events of the past 6 months have been altered. The show starts 6 months in the past, and everyone remembers a 2 minute portion of their lives from the time of the time travel (present time AKA 6 months in the future).

sorry for ruining the show. :D

Seems like a reasonable theory I suppose. Although, I believe this show is based off of a novel that could easily be looked up online. So if the truth turns out to be anywhere close to this, I am going to call shenanigans.

John Cho had an interview on the Preston and Steve show not to long ago and said they had material for at least 3 seasons, depending on how successful the show was.

I have no clue how they could make this 3 seasons

Unless Cho is on the writing staff (I don't think he is) or the writers have the whole series planned out (highly doubtful) I don't know how he can say that statement. Again I don't see how this show can last more than 2 season max (my guess is the whole 1st season is trying to figure out what caused the flash forward, season 2 trying to stop whoever/whatever did it from doing it again) without jumping shark and becoming stale or taking the show in a total opposite direction.

Saw that news this morning, it definitely should have been picked up. I'm very interested to see what the show has in store for us on April 29, 2010 as that date happens to fall on a Thursday.

Bit of a slow episode last night til the end. I had a feeling that Mr. Simcoe was Suspect 0 and glad to see Charlie is involved with what happened. Never hurts to have another good actor involved.

Yeah last night's episode was probably the worst episode in the series so far, like you said slow. I think we're going to get a lot of those slow episodes all building up to April 29th. I do however like how the characters are dealing with their flashforwards. The ones that got bad ones are refusing to put any stock into it and the ones that had good ones are at peace with themselves and what's going to happen.

I do think the male lead is either going to get together with the babysitter or the female FBI agent that saw she was having a baby which will lead to his split with 'Penny' and his drinking problem.

My other guess is that 'Harold''s financee is going to end up with the male doctor who tried to kill himself on the dock before the flash forward. I think they're going to meet when 'Harold' gets shot and the male doctor is trying to save him in the hospital and has to tell the girl he's dead.

Eh, average episode at best with tons of filler stuff in it. The only important stuff was with the President, Clemente and the black head of the FBI. Everything else was pretty much pointless until the last 3 or 4 minutes. Still don't understand why the Chinese are involved but since we know these people (minus Harold/MILF guy- seriously I can't remember anyone's names on this show for whatever reason) there was no suspense involved in the attack.

Hopefully next week's episode will start to pick the series up a bit more because there have been a lot of dull episodes the past few weeks.
