    1. Why are we coaching scared? We did it last week, and did it this week. We're afraid to go for the kill, and throw anything over 8 yards. We're playing chicken-**** football on offense. Why?

    2. Why is Patrick Turner not playing? He was a 3rd round draft pick. Is he really that bad, that he can't crack our worse than average line-up? He's a big, athletic player that was a high pick. He can't get active? We need 4 slot WRs instead? Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Hartline...these guys are not typical wideouts. So I ask again, Turner can't get any playing time? Why?

    3. Why do we not use Ted Ginn Jr. the way the Eagles use Desean Jackson? He is not, nor ever will be Reggie Wayne. Put him back on kicks AND punts and please let him return 3 or 4 touchdowns for us this season. Do you really think Bess or Cobbs will ever make a game changing play for us on returns? Seriously? And please don't use Ginn as a goto guy. He's a guy who takes a slant 70 yards for a touchdown...LIKE DESEAN JACKSON! He's not Andre Johnson. We need big plays! We have a guy who can do this, but we don't put him in position to do so. Why?

    4. The future is now. Pennington seems to be seriously injured on his battered old rotator cuff. Henne had a massive pre-season, experience wise. The bottom line is, either you come in and perform or you don't. The future is now, it's been forced down our throats. But if Pennington can come back sooner than later, what do we do? Lets use this opportunity please. We're not sitting on a Drew Brees/Phil Rivers situation here. We need to know what we got, or whether we need to address it AGAIN in April. Are we gonna give Henne his fair shot?

    5. Good quarterbacks have played well and beaten us. Despite scoreboards and time of possessions, certain aspects of our defense have played well. Our pass rush has been decent. We're the team who misses the bomb on offense, and the team who has the bomb made on them...and because the QBs that have played us have been stellar, we lose. Do we give up on the season?

We were 2-4 last season. We're 0-3. For better or for worse, see you next Sunday.

I will say that we run too many rb and wr screens considering that our team is awful at running them.

I think we definitely need to find out what Henne has this season. Unless we start playing dramatically better ball, we will be picking very high in the draft. If Henne isnt gonna cut it, we need to draft a franchise QB.

No, the way you get good at them is in practice. This is the NFL. We don't practice during regular season games.

I agree. We need to give him the room to grow and see what we have. If he's not the answer, we need to know before the offseason.

Doesn't matter...if you find out you're not good at something during a live game, you should stop doing it until you have the chance to work on it more in practice.

If I were coach, Id take soem drastic steps towards seeing where we're at. put Turner in, use Ginn on specials and as a slot. give henne the rock, and open up the playbook for his arm.

Dude, I am with you 110%. I blame coaching (play calling primarily) for last Monday night, and in part today. Execution comes in a close second. Defense...WTF? Man, has this team ever regressed. Pitiful.

You know it's funny, I was joking with my friend at Alehouse today when Pennington got injured that this was what we were going to end up doing.

I think Henne did decent for what he had to work with in that game. Look forward to seeing how he looks with a full week of prep against Buffalo.

I don't know that we so much regressed, but our problems are definitely magnified. Inside LB and Safety has been a concern, and was last year too. The problem is this year we're playing teams with QBs that will make you pay if your secondary can't hold things down, which it can't right now.

We're a better team if you ask me, we've just played some of the best pass offense in the league, 3 games in a row, and had some pretty crappy play.

we came out flat this season and now we're in a hole that its virtually impossible to get out of. I think we need to get the young blood in....Henne, Turner, Hartline, Clemons, Wake. Lets see what they can do. Clemons should play soon. He was the most impressive of the rookies in the preseason who still hasnt seen any regular season action

Turner played like crap during the pre-season. Ginn plays like a scared lil girl (sorry if I offended any lil girls in the group).

What I want to see next season is a true number one WR, upgrade the middle of the defense (especially MLB and FS) and Ginn on another team. I am done giving him any breaks.

I don't know... I imagine it's a confidence issue. Lack of confidence in our QB, WR, and OL seems to be the answer... Our Oline gives up big pressure, our WR are not great in any aspect, and our QB's have some issues. This season reminds me of 07 offensively. Ronnie having a great year, and everyone else was terrible.

If we're struggling in the goal line, why not have a big target to throw to? Perhaps it is a talent issue. I know I was unhappy with the pick (As well as others, like White and Hartline).

I was thinking the same thing when I saw Jackson go off today. One thing sticks out to me... DJ has quickness and confidence. Perhaps Ginn would too if we used him right.

    4.
Agreed. Chad is gone after this year anyway. Henne needs his chance to play. He needs reps and gamedays. If he's not who we thought he was (well, who BP and co. thought he was. I was never in love with during his lackluster Michigan days). We're likely to be picking top 5 if things stay as is, and there will be a few QB we need to look at. Fact is, QB who win Superbowls are first round picks (not named Brady). Until the position is addressed with consistency, we can't expect much.

I've already given up on playoffs... But I'll be watching 16/16 this year.

that logic would mean our whole defense would never play in a live game..till they got it right which could be years:wink2:

One of my biggest concerns thus far is who we are deactivating. Turner? What could he do potentially worse than our other WR, drop the ball? He would have been great for the red zone today. Clemmons? Could he be much worse than Wilson I mean come on. Thank God Wilson could actually tackle today, but he still sucks in coverage. Wake? I think I heard he was active today maybe, but when Porter is not playing, we should let Wake get some experience.

As for coaching scared, that showed today when Henne was in. Our playcalling was rediculous. That pick was a bad throw, but the safety was pressed up near the line because our play calling. The safety was up near the line since he was smart enough to know we dont throw the ball for more than 5 yards a play.

Well the only answer is I can give you is for #2 and this is just what I have heard. Since the pads have gone on Turner has been terrible and appears to drop the ball a lot in practice, we saw him drop quite a few in preseason. So that is the only reason he isn't out there that I can tell, also might have a hard time with the playbook and reading defenses.

    how about:
-why do we go away from the wildcat when we are still picking up 5+ yards a play and their defense can't stop us? worried about what deion might say? i just don't understand dan henning's logic on most of his play calling...but who am i?

-why not put ginn on kickoff returns? why? he isn't consistent with passes that hit his hands, why would he be consistent with kickoffs?
