That's a terrible argument if you are using it to bolster a defense of Wes Welker, considering that is a large portion of many people's opinion about Welker.

Edelman was a safety valve for Brady yesterday. IMO that's why he had the numbers he did. Also, let's not forget Edelman was wide open for a TD and Brady missed him.

What do you attribute Brady's troubles against Buffalo to with Welker in the game?

Yup, I said Edelman is far more dangerous with the ball in his hands than Welker is (not saying Edelman is a better WR).

    No it's not......why?

Brady + Welker = much more dangerous than Edelman + Brady

He had trouble in that game?

I thought he won it with two TD passes?

Did you ever consider that it may have been a result of a lack of familiarity?

Many people (myself included) think Welker's 100+ recs can be attributed more to the fact that he plays with Brady and Moss, in an offense that throws it a very large # of times (compared to the rest of the league), rather than to the idea that Welker is so great.

And Brady + Welker may very well be more dangerous than Edelman + Brady, but that was not my argument. My argument was Edelman + ball in his hands > dangerous than Welker with ball in his hands.

They had 13 points with 5 minutes to go. I would say given Tom Brady's track record and what I saw in that game yes, he was in trouble.

So it's not in is his track record to do what you saw against Buffalo? You were actually shocked to see him pull that game off?

Also, given that Welker didn't play in game two, don't u think it's likely he was gimp during game 1?

Of course Welker is better on the Pats.....he's also just as important a cog on that team as ANYONE not named Tom Brady.

Being better on the Pats doesn't take away from his importance on that offense.

No, not really. There's a difference between performance of a player in one game and the talent of a player in one game. Edelman may not be as talented as Welker but he could have just as good of a game as Welker may have had. That was my point. I don't think Welker would have topped 9 catches, 98 yards and made a difference in the win-loss column for New England.

    Hopefully much more to come.

Titans and Saints are going to be tough games. I hope they put the ball more in Sanchez's hands, let him air it out a little more to keep them away from putting 8in the box.

I trust Sanchez more and more.

No, because he got hurt during that game. There was a play where he injured himself and came to the sideline and slammed his helmet.
