did you watch the game? he stepped out of bounds right before the 1st down marker, thats the problem. now i wonder was that by design? if we had timeouts, then it would have been a brilliant play by Ginn. more shots at the endzone.

It wasn't the not running out of bounds, it was that he ran backwards three feet, behind the first down marker when if he just dove out forwarded and out of bounds, he gets the first down and out of bounds.

To me its just a lack of football sense. It's like, in those situations his mind can only think of one thing at a time.

The reason that he had to run back across the first down marker was because the ball floated there. I don't want to take a shot at Pennington but that ball took forever to get there.

Yup. You wait for the ball it gets intercepted. You wait for penningtons ball and it's a pick Six almost every time.

Ginn is not a tough jump ball WR.
    Pennington doens't have an arm.

Can we all agree with this. we cannot expect them to be what they are not. How many jump balls has Marvin harrison wrestled away? He flopped worse than Vlade Divac when there was a defender near. Good thing for him Peyton placed it on a silver platter every time.

Listen, all I love you guys like brothers, but anyone that wants to come in here and blame Ginn for the loss is flat out WRONG.

This is not the time to place blame on Ginn. I was a Ginn "hater" for a long time but it is ridiculous to expect him to come up with that ball. He IS NOT Randy Moss or Andre Johnson. That play took forever to develop and the ball was jump ball..

This loss is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000% on the defense. NO question about it. To say otherwise is a cheap shot and flat out BS in my book.

I love you guys and I'm sorry to do this but,

Ban me for this I don't give a **** at this point... if you are blaming Ted Ginn for this loss then you're an IDIOT.

He had his man beat by FIVE YARDS and had to make a complete stop and position himself for that football with his arm being held down by the DB.

Once again, your QB sucks. The QB that everyone loves, yeah, he sucks. Overthrown then underthrown. Ginn should have had 13 catches and 2 TD.

I'm tired of you buffoons bashing Ted Ginn. It's annoying as hell.

I guess Tony Sparano is a POS / terrible / garbage / etc. coach as well for clock management down the stretch?

Dan Carpenter? Make that FG and we can kick it to win it at the end.

I guess Gibril Wilson and Anthony Fasano completely suck? Oops. Sorry. Say that and you're definitely right.

The same guy that was Mr Dependable all night after we ran it up the gut on 1st and 2nd down..

To blame Ginn for this loss is borderline idiotic and shows a very low football IQ.

Ginn kept us in this game. I disagree about Chad. We should have won this game 23-10 instead our D looked like a bunch of outchoached scrubs that couldn't shed a block from the puny Colt WR's.

Ginn was great tonight. I don't understand how he's terrible as the OP and the IDIOTS on WQAM560 state. We don't move the football throughout the course of this game without Ginn finding the soft spots in the defense and stepping in there and making huge plays on 3rd down. Yeah, so he didn't make a tough catch at the end of the game... it shouldn't have came down to that point. Missed FG. Horrendous clock management. Blown time outs. Gibril Wilson showing why not even the Raiders wanted him. Blah, blah, blah.

To blame Ted Ginn for this loss is sad, but understandable. Understandable because he'll forever be the scape goat for Dolphins fans because he was "drafted too high"

Ted Ginn will never be able to do right for this fan base. Never. He can only not mess up or do wrong.

I couldnt believe what I was seeing during that 3:00 minute drill I wanted to someone to run up to henning and punch him in the ****ing face.

No urgency at all during that drive.

I dont know why people are insisting this loss isnt on the coaches, we should have had more points on the board but nope, lets play Wannyball its not like Peyton Manning has never led a 4th quarter com- Oh **** he just did!

Dude, someone correct me if wrong... but we got the ball with 3:13 left in the game, no? How the **** did we manage to only get TWO PLAYS OFF before the 2 minute warning? LORD HAVE MERCY! And people blame Ted Ginn for this loss? At least Tony Sparano did the right thing and took the blame at the podium, whether he was trying to save his team or he was being honest. I am disgusted, man. I didn't care when we lost last week; we were dominated. We dominated Indy at home tonight, and watched them celebrate on our field. Pathetic.

Where the **** is Patrick Turner? isnt this why we drafted him to be a redzone threat?

71 % conversion rate, 71% conversion rate, 71% conversion rate, 71% CONVERSION RATE you have the most accurate passer of all time and Ted Ginn is playing well, how in Gods name do you not throw the ball on third and 6 or 3rd and 7?

yeah it was 3:13, we had more than enough time?to score and what do we do? we sleepwalk.

I still don't understand that. It seems as though we were playing for the FG which is crazy, IMO. Peyton Manning is on the opposing football team. Peyton Manning. Not only that, but we played for the FG at the end of the half when we were positioned to take a few shots at the endzone, and we failed miserably because we left time on the clock in the process. It seems like once this offense gets into FG range, the aggressive game plan goes out the window because the fall back option is available for at least getting something out of it. I don't like that at all. I'm not a believer in putting it all on the defense, especially when Gibril Wilson is in your secondary.

Terrible coaching tonight, folks. Terrible. I still have faith in Sparano, though. Even BB gets outcoached a few times per season. It just sucks that our "terrible personnel" put it all together and it came down to this.

And yeah, it doesn't help that you're lining up to take 40 yard shots in the endzone with Ginn, Camarillo, and Bess. No height in there at all.

Man I really hope this fairweather fanbase doesnt give up on this team, that stadium was the loudest I've ever heard, you could barely hear Mandich and co on the radio. Everything was seemingly going right for us, we had a brilliant plan and it was working until the end.

I agree you cant expect to win against Peyton Manning with FGs.

I really hate the fact taht we didnt go for it on 4th and 1. Your RBs are kicking ***, hell all you need is a QB sneak. Hell this is Lou Polite's specialty.

and yet we do run a QB sneak on that ****ty last drive, and what it does is eat more clock, the lack of logic here is baffling.

I am quite upset we don't run a QB sneak or whatever on 4th and 1 to keep the drive going and go for a TD but we run one when the clock needs to be stopped and we have no time outs

Hate to say it but I've had season tickets for the majority of my life, and if we return to the stadium 0-3... it'll be a home game for the Buffalo Bills.

Aside from the die hard on this forum and the few others still around, Dolphins (and Heat, Marlins, etc.) fans for the most part suck.

You know I have tried to drink the Ginn kool-aid, and support him as a number 1 option. But, I'm sorry after tonight, I just cant any longer. He avoids contact, doesn't fight for yards, goes out of bounds before making a first down on the last drive, and he misses a game winning pass right to his hands. Not to mention he misjudged how much distance he had left in the endzone to out of bounds. We have too many role players playing major player positions and when we face a team that has the big dogs that we dont it kills us.

Ronnie Brown, Lousaka Polite, the QB sneak... I felt like going into that 4th and 1, all of these options were complete locks to keep the drive going and the clock running. At best you get a TD and go up 7, at worst you settle for a FG later in the drive. Both scenarios kill clock and forces Indy to burn their remaining time outs.

EDIT: I guess "at worst" you get stopped on 4th and 1.

I understand what you're saying, but the guy was money on 3rd or 4th down seven times tonight. Seven.

He went over the middle and made some huge plays. The only play I really blame him for is going out of bounds before getting the first down on that catch on the final drive (and he did this in a crucial point against Oakland last year, but made up for it with the 4th down conversion over the middle), but I don't think he recognized the amount of separation he had behind him and we didn't have any time outs remaining. I'm not making an excuse for him. I'm just listing a possibility of what might have been running through his head on the fly.

Again, poor clock management by the coaching staff puts us in the position to even discuss this as a negative, though.

I agree with everything you said here and he did have one or two very, very nice catches. But what i am saying is when it was game time so to speak, he dropped the ball, literally. And almost all those catches were curl routes against Jennings.

this is the funniest thing though

on that last drive if thats what anyone wants to call it because it looked more like surrendering.........

we have 3:18......first play we run? and then instead of hurrying up we sit there till 2:26 and call a TIME OUT? wtf...then to make it worst we run again and instead of getting a play off we go to the 2 minute warning.......then we waste another time out when a colts player would have stopped the clock in the first place.......whatever though, I am good now, time to move on and beat the chargers baby.......

    This.

I will probably never forget how that one played out. Forget about everything that happened before and after that sequence. Ball at your own 18 with 3:13 to go... run the football, get nothing, let the clock run... call time out... run the football, get nothing, watch clock run down to two minute warning? WTF. THEN YOU THROW THE FOOTBALL AND CONVERT (with no time outs remaining)! Ya don't say?

That first "dropped TD" by Ginn wasn't a drop. My friend is a huge Pats fan, and he is the first to dog Ginn, and tell me how terrible he is, and he even said that it wasn't a drop. I actually liked Ginn's play on that ball, though...looked to me like he slowed up to keep the defense back, and then wanted to jump ahead and grab it, but Pennington floated it a little too far. The second TD would have been an amazing catch...too bad Pennington waited to throw that to him. Would like to point out, Ginn is what, 5'10"? You guys who are expecting him to win jump balls like Moss or Fitz or Johnson are out of your minds. Sure, Steve Smith does it, and he's not over 6', but Smith is an aberration. Not to mention, people who act like #1's NEVER drop balls need to watch more games. Moss has dropped TD's. Fitz has dropped TD's. Johnson has dropped TD's.

Ginn gets the blame, but no one is up Fasano's a**. His two fumbles last week cost us the game, and he dropped a TD this game also. Ginn goes 11 for 108 and he sucks and should be cut. Get a grip.

Some fans on here piss me off more than the loss.

When you have a chance to win the game and you don't make the play, you are going to catch heat for it. Doesn't matter if you are Randy Moss or Tom Brady.

Btw, Fasano TD was a 'drop', the next play to Ginn... it was a bad throw? Seemed like the exact same situation/pass to me. Either they are both drops or both bad throws.

Just for the record for anyone who says "it was an easy catch, it hit him in both hands," well truth is it really only hit his right hand, and it wouldn't have been easy (though I still say he should've caught it).

We kept the game close and someone had to make a play to win it. We didn't make a play... we lost.

Hard to say that someone who had 11 catches for 108 yards and multiple key 3rd down conversions sucks. He had a good game. Should he have caught that ball? Yes, if he wants to be a star he needs to catch that ball...but he still had a good game.

Fasano had the ball in his hands. The first pass to Ginn was not in his hands. It was out of his reach. I thought that Pennington's pass to Fasano wasn't great either...it was a little too high, but it was actually in his hands, though, unlike the next one to Ginn. The point was, though, that people are blaming Ginn, but Fasano was just as bad, if not worse, considering his play through the two games.

To blame Ginn, means you have to forgive the defense.

How is that possible? over 300 yrds and 27 points in less than a quarter.

    Let's put that in perspective.

If the Colts had done all of that in the first quarter, (with a few minutes to spare btw) no one would be blaming anyone else. Average time of possession for a winning team is in the 30 minute range, if that held true this time, the Colts projected to put up over 600 yards and more than 54 pts.

And people want to blame Ginn? Clock management? Really?

This wasn't just a lousy performance, it is by far, one of the worst defensive performances in the history of the NFL. This had nothing to do with Manning or Clark, but it was our inability to tackle or cover or apply pressure. It could have been any QB and TE in the league last night.

You couldn't even put the defense in front of a firing squad for this performance because the bullets would get by them.

Let's also not forget that the Colts TOP could have been longer by 4 minutes or so, had the defense not allowed a one play 80 yd TD on the first play of the game.

Yes, Ginn wasn't clutch, but the defense didn't even play at all.
