That was part of the problem, other than that I don't know what game you watched. I guess on tv you can't see all the wide open receivers.

 

The problem is.......those WR's are NOT open for Chad Pennington. He hasn't got enough in that arm to get the ball there before the window closes (before the defender gets there)

This is why you see him just stand there as if there's no one to throw to. He knows his limitations and generally opts for a safer alternative.

You add to his limitations the fact that we don't have a WR that takes short passes and turns them into TD's or long gains......and we need the wildcat to prop up this offense.

Interesting side note, This would be the second game in a row, counting the Ravens game, where the Oline got their butt kicked as well.

EDIT: Pennington may be the type of QB that needs a good Oline to play well.
