Agreed he will only get better, however watching that game last night I was scared stiff because of our defense giving up huge chunks on screens and dinks...

I was worried about our secondary but not as much now im worried about the DLINE and Linebackers now!!

We have so much depth it's not even funny. Even opposing AFC East fans have taken notice. You know we're solid up front when Jets fans are worried.

He does suck at blocking, this is true.

But calling a screen to Bess that's completely dependent on him making a block, now that's more so Henning's fault. At some point you have to call your offense knowing what certain players can do, and what they can't do.

You don't make Lusaka Polite run a fade, so why make Ginn be a lead blocker?

and wow, will the media stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill when it comes to Jake Long?

 

If the play is to his side of the field then it's most certainly his job to block...also, we are supposed to be a run heavy team so he needs to throw his body around out there for the cause. Not gonna happen since he goes out of his way on almost every play to avoid contact, but yeah.....he needs to grow a pair and mix it up a little. Personally, I'd just trade him and let some other team waste their time waiting for him to "develop".


Long is the highest paid lineman in the NFL......and he isn't playing like it. So yeah, it is news worthy.

Practice like u play....and it's not like his problem with speed rushers is news to anyone. It was the knock on him coming out of college. A problem that needs to be addressed given the fact he's being paid a king's ransom and we passed on a blue chip QB to take him.

So Long missed one block....big deal....it's preseason. My main concern is our special teams....it seems to be a consistent problem and not just a once a week thing. We can't tackle or cover kick or punt returners and we don't do a very good job returning kicks or punts.....if we don't improve here we are going to give away some games we should win.

Non-physical recievers aren't physical. Get over it. Isaac Bruce, Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, Santana Moss, Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne etc etc. They all play like girls. But then again, they all stay healthy and on the field for a very long time too. Imagine that.

Ginn is not a blocker, this is news? Seems to be to tony Sparano and Dan Henning, I bet we don't see that play to the left again unless we put a different WR over there to block. Ginn didn't even TRY.

I love the fact Big Jake gave up a sack IN THE PRESEASON, means he's probably pretty pissed about it and way less likely to let it happen when it really counts.
