I don't think anybody gets cut.

Next week's game against the Saints is a backup-fest.

Gotta have somebody take those snaps.

I think no one gets cut yet. The only needed to be at 75 for the first cut, but the team is down to 70 right now. I actually think there might be some additions.

Unless Hilliard plays lights-out in game four, he's going to be cut before the regular season.

I think it would be a stupid move to cut a talented player based upon one bad game. Then again with Cobbs pushing him I can see why it would happen.

cobbs isnt pushing hillard. cobbs is far ahead of hillard, so unless cobbs comes up with a serious injury he doesnt effect hillards chance at makin the team

That's the thing---he's got Cobbs, Ricky and Ronnie all ahead of him. To stay on the team, he needed to shine in the preseason. He couldn't afford a game like that.

Does Hilliard play special teams? If not that's another thing Cobbs has on him. Cobbs blocked a punt, returned a kick, and had a couple special teams tackles if I remember correctly.

In his favor Ricky is getting up in age, Ronnies contract is expiring, and Cobbs is what he is. Hilliard has a lot of potential and I'm not sure one bad game is enough to cut him.

    Hilliard isnt that good.

People make him better than he is.

    calphin deadly at 250 yards!!

Not so fast! Our O-line really didn't open many holes for any of our backs. It wasn't just Hillard that played bad.

hard to run the ball when you have to avoid tacklers in the backfield.

Not really. We all know he is a young back with potential. You don't cut a player like that.

I didn't say he was godly, but IMO he has the potential to be better than Cobbs, and even better than Ricky is at this point in his career.

I don't want him to carry the load, but as the #2 back? Sure.

I don't think so he is quite slow hitting the hole.

I think he gets cut. You can always find serviceable Runningbacks.
