I just finished watching the game, and I was wondering why were they not able to review that kickoff fumble recovery by the Phins. The Carolina guy clearly had the ball stripped out of his hands, and the Phins recovered it. Was the play blown dead? I can't understand how an official can do this....luckily it was just preseson, but there has to be a way to overturn a call like this. Reminded me of Ed Hochuli's calls in the Bronco's game last year.

My own thoughts on the game: Pennington looked good as usual. It was nice seeing them using some of the Wildcat, especially Pennington's TD throw. I really like Hilliard and I hope there is a way to keep him....I would take him over Polite as he is bigger, faster and more versatile. Cobbs also looked nice. Ronnie didn't play much but he is moving really well. I love Patrick Turner. He is a huge target out there and can catch the ball unlike the last big Pac-10 Wide Receier we had (ASU's Hagan).

Our Special Teams still needs some work. Vontae Davis is a very confident young man...I love his swagger and intensity, I just hope he doesn't get carried away and get penalized celebrating. I think Bob Griese pointed this out during the game, but he is looking like a nice pickup. Henne and White also looked good, and how about Donald Thomas #66 plowing guys over like Larry Little. Two nice games to start off the season.
