http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/content/sports/epaper/2009/08/12/0812dolphins_notebook.html Make no mistake: Dolphins coach Tony Sparano loves Patrick Cobbs. Sparano spoke more than once last season about how, when he was on the Dallas Cowboys' staff, he heard Cobbs' name constantly when he was becoming the most productive runner in the history of the North Texas program.
He does everything. Last year during the game vs Raiders, they showed him 3 plays in a row. 1st, he picks up a blitzking LB. 2nd. He scores a TD. And then gets the tackle on the kickoff. The man just plays football. Period.
Remember when Bess went out in the Playoff game??? The put Cobbs at WR to play the slot and he looked decent out there. Cobbs is just a football player period.
It says it right in the article- Both of those stats are really good for their respective stats. If he can produce anything close to that in bigger samples of action, he might be a really good player. That's not even including the fact that he had good special teams production. Hell, he even had a good lead block out of the triple option or whatever you'd call it vs. Seattle- http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-...Ronnie-Brown-Highlight-WK-10-vs-Seahawks-2008 That's not to mention that he's a runningback, but virtually all of his production came either lined up like a receiver, or an H-Back.
Holy crap ! never saw that , Whats the coach thinking ronnie only getting like 4 yards a carry.Thats a no brainer put him in ....
I really love the guy. When he was signing my ball I said "I know you are overlooked, but we know that they got some WC plays just for you mr. Cobbs, you are a beast" I love that guy. He just smiled )))
