    That sucks, he put out most of the films of my junior high & high school years. R.I.P. Mr Hughes, thanks for all the laughs. You made adolescence that much more tolerable. :sad:

    He had a hand in more of my favorite movies than any one writer/director. Christmas Vacation, Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone 1 and 2, Uncle Buck . . .

    Shame that his last credit will be Drillbit Taylor.

    home alone and vacation FTW......**** this is terrible......seriously if its on tv no matter when....i will watch vacation....what a awesome movie...i love it

    I had no clue he wrote Home Alone. Nothing touches Christmas Vacation though. He has a hell of a catalog. Its a shame he went fairly young.
