its just words too, doesn't really tell a story either. the music is so loud ya can't understand most of em anyway.
in my day, men were men, dames were dames, and music was music. blargh! but for the record, Bob Seger doesn't even like "Old Time Rock n Roll".
If thge music you hear all sounds the same then you need to listen to different music. I hear this complaint all the time, "it is not as good as it used to be, it all sounds the same". I find that arguement hilarious because I have no issue finding something to listen to and I'm always discovering something new.
I would say mainstream radio music lacks pretty much everything. Originality, soul, all sounds the same, says nothing and is almost universal garbage. If you dig though there is still great stuff being made.
People have been saying the music from the generation following their own is 'not as good as it used to be' or 'it's just noise' since before the radio was invented, and I don't think that will ever change. I can remember my 97 year old grandma telling me Elvis and the Beatles were just noise, "not like when people played music you could listen to and enjoy, when I was your age", as she put it. Whatever grannie, now turn my Van Halen back up.
gotta lot of songs on there. you can pick the one you like and minimize the site and listen while you work.
i've been doing this since i graduated high school. "Turn down that R. Kelly. In my day, we didnt have no RRRRRRRRRRRRR Kelly. We got Bell Biv Devoe, and ya liked it!"
who could forget todays music, classics like this will last forever, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4"]YouTube - **** In My Pants[/ame]

great song....and its amazing....for what it is supposed to be....a comedy song.....a parody of crappy techno-pop-Swedish-rave music
i listen to what evers on the radio, i prefer country, thats what i buy. there are rock songs i do like but the way they make disks any more, they put one good song with a bunch of others. country does the same bullxxxx. have to really look for the one to buy. i hated country until i was in my 30's, used to tease the crap out of my mother-in-law because thats all she listened to. i read an article tht 63% of the people that didn't like it will swith the channel to it by the time their 50. i guess the ones that did the study were right, most country songs tell a story and you start thinking about things that you did that you'll never do again.
