WTAE-TV: Casino employee files lawsuit accusing Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/20123949/detail.html Wonder where this is going to go?
Exactly. Many others (employees of the casino) are named too for "defamation of character." Something seems off.
Always interesting when someone waits a year to claim rape or something of the sort. Sounds like it's going to be a he said/she said deal.
I love the way lawyers say '**** you.' This smells like BS, especially due to the length of time that passed between the incident and this story.
The incident allegedly happened in 2008. No criminal complaint No criminal charges No investigation anlgp fail. lol
As stated it's best to reserve judgment until we know more. However, I also thinks its important to keep an open mind - ie: not call it probable BS just because it happened a year ago. Roethlisberger is not facing any criminal charges, and it's unclear if McNulty ever tried to file a criminal complaint before taking legal action against him. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/20123949/detail.html The above quote was from the original link. So in other words, its not known at this time if the woman first tried to pursue criminal charges or not. If she did it could very well have taken several months for investigators to determine that there wasn't enough evidence to file criminal charges. If that was the case then it doesn't necessarily preclude civil charges. Rules of evidence are different.
like every website is carrying this story, but ESPN.com....they are always one of the first ones to break "you got it here first" stories....interesting
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534343,00.html Apparently she didn't make a criminal complaint because she was afraid to get fired.
