Found this over at the Steelers site that I frequent and thought I would share: http://steelerfurypodcasts.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1445&sid=417d77814548bc47093e46dc7c44abe9 cheers....
I was a little confused at seeing a C+ at quarterback and then read nothing but gushing love for Chad. I'm confused
Yeah, that's a bit strange. I think C+ is way too low. I know we may not have the best QB situation in the league, but Chad P had an awful lot to do with our success last year, and probably will again this year. We have a good young QB prospect in Henne, and a versatile guy sitting at 3rd string in Pat White. Id say B-, or B at least.
I can see how someone could give Miami a C+. Henne and White are not known. It still remains to be seen that they can start for more than one game and play well. Pennington is also a quarterback that dispite having what is arguably the 2nd best season in Dolphin history, has yet to have two good seasons in a row for his career.
He said he wasn't impressed with Donald Thomas because he only played in one game. Someone should tell him he got injured. But the guy knows a lot for not being an AFC Fan
Our QB grade should be an A, IMO. Pennington isn't the best QB in the league, but he is perfect for our offense. And he does a great job as a leader. I think our WR/TE grade should be a B, but I don't blame him for giving us a C-. We have question marks there. The funniest grade is ST. B? Really?
I don't disagree with this. However, maybe this should have been the piece in the article, C+ would have made more sense then.
I don't know if he was rating the entire QB stable. I took it as being a grade just for Pennington as the starter. But who knows. Still, Pennington deservers better than a C+ based on his body of work. Even if you think Pennington is a C+, do you think Trent Edwards is as good a QB? Because he got a C+ too. Interesting read nonetheless.
I would subtract from the DL one letter grade and I'd give that to our QBs. Otherwise, it's about as good as any other.
