I know I'm unlikely to get a lot of replies here because its Soccer lol but which one is a better buy, Pro Evolution games or FIFA? I've always played FIFA and never really played Pro E. For those who have, can you please share your thoughts on the game compared to FIFA?
For the 360 & PS3 FIFA it's better, for the PS2 Pro Evolution. FIFA 09 for the 360 it's the best soccer game ever created.
im with everyone else on this one. PES took a step back and while this fifa does have some glitches it is still a amazing game. BE A PRO: ONLINE TEAM PLAY is some of the most fun ive ever had.
Thanks guys. I'm trying to decide which one to buy for '10 but can't decide. I've always played FIFA so I'm used to it but I've heard good things about PES up until this year. From all the things that I've read about FIFA 10, it sounds great. They finally added the Russian league so I'm excited but I'm waiting to see what PES offers. Thanks again.
Take this for what it's worth but my brother player fifa 10 at an EA conference a couple of months ago. Said even he (who hates soccer with a passion) would consider buying it. He won't, but the fact he admitted it was a shock to me
Damn. I was looking through the recent updates and news that came out about FIFA '10 and it all sounded GREAT!
I've been a PES player my whole life up until this year. PES really is not nearly as good as FIFA 09 is. Get FIFA, you won't regret it. It's not perfect, but it's the best soccer game I have ever played.
While we're on this topic, I have to ask those who play manager mode, what club do you use? I use Arsenal and I'm in year two but have already won everything and bought young guys who have developed well so I'm looking to go to a smaller club with a good budget and decent young guys. Any suggestions?
I hosted a German co-worker back in December, and HSV was his club. It's honestly the only club I know aside from Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc. (the big ones)
Bundesliga is the name of the league the German club is in that you posted. "His" club? I'm guessing he roots for them and doesn't own them.
They are in the city he lives in. He has like season tickets, etc. That's what I meant by his. He bleeds for them like we do the Dolphins, maybe more.
Good choice Try Leeds United... you can still advance them to the premiership and they have decent strikers.
True, I could use them. It would be one helluva advancement since I think they're in league 1 so I would have to go through the Championship and then eventually to the PL. You ever play with Southampton or any French ligue 1 clubs?
The Wolverhampton Wanderers are a young team and have a decent budget. Or if you really want a challenge, pick one of the Coca-Cola League 2 teams.
I've thought about Wolverhampton for a while now. I just might get them. As I said I'm in my second year with Arsenal and Wolverhampton is now in the PL too. I've also really thought about the french ligue. Have you used any of them over there?
No I've never used teams from the French League. I only played with teams from Spain, Italy and England.
Pretty much any team in the French League will need a lot of work... I like the challenge, personally. Go for it. Birmingham might be an option too.
Agreed. Just about everyone but Lyon. I'm thinking PSG or Bordeaux. I'll pick one of the two once I find out the highest budget at the end of the Arsenal season, lol.
When does FIFA normally come out? All this talk is making me want to try it, but I don't wan't to get 09 if 10 is right around the corner.
Watford (my home town but they also train next door to Arsenal!) there mid-table so chance of gaining promotion. I kind of gave up on the manager mode though and now just stick to playing online - making a point not to use any of the big teams - fair few losses but great feeling when you beat the likes of Real Madrid using Wellington Phoenix!
Try using the Ligue 2... I think it's in the game, haven't played with French teams in awhile. PSG and Marseilles are also solid teams.
