I saw a commercial on NFL Network today. They will be talking about why the Dolphins will apparently struggle this year at 7 EST on NFLN.

Im sure this has something to do with Tom Brady's return.

They will also have a special on the leagues best edge rushers. Maybe Joey will be on that list.

Here I'll save you the trouble of watching.

Tom Brady is back. The league has caught onto the wildcat. *Insert misleading stats here*

Oh...and dont forget our horrendously hard schedule....the lack of a # WR....question marks in our secondary....yada, yada, yada.....

We win 11 or more this season....and win the AFC East....Brady can choke on it!!!

How awesome would it be to sweep the Pats and win the division again? Maybe cause some doubt in Brady's little head.

Because the NFLN is trying to attract Dolphins fans into watching their show at 7pm this evening?

Early in this process, the story line was "because Chad Pennington will be injured, we just know he will be..."

As for Brady's return, if one looks objectively at the Pats, the plain fact is they have not won a Super Bowl in 5 years, they missed the playoffs last season, and they have no pass rushers.

I'd like to talk smack, but man, how can you argue with the success the patsies have had. They've lost coaches, players, FO guys and still seem to be on top of their game. Last year BB took a frickin' HS QB and made chicken salad...Brady was never known for his mobility. He's got Marino type mobility in the pocket and that's all he needs. More than likely, even coming off the torn ACL won't affect his game much. They have the best WR corps in the East and perhaps the AFC. They have a solid, yet unspectacular run game that seems to just get the yards they need, when they need them. The D is also unspectacular, although getting older. The insertion of Mayo and Thomas certainly helped last year. They've added some talent in their draft as well...

I just can't count them out until I see them watching the POs at home in January...

We've had plenty worse teams than our 2009 Dolphins that have had no problems beating the Tom Brady led Patsies. e.g. 2004, 2006 (I think this is the season we beat them 21-0?). Brady can't do it all. I don't sweat the Patriots, and I'm sure Tony Sparano and the Dolphins don't either.

These are the same "experts" who are positive that Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco will be better in 2009. How do they know the Dolphins will be worse, but the Falcons and Ravens will be better?

They don't. They make stuff up. Sure, they throw in some half-assed rationale, but its all speculation.

    Well away from here
Not to mention that their multitude of "vaunted" drafts have produced very little front line talent. Who was their last draft choice to really hit it big, make a big impact or get to a pro bowl? They haven't drafted as well as most people believe or make out.

Jamie Dukes and Rod Woodson talked about the Wild Cat and they actually had some good things to say about Pat White and the Wild Cat. Jamie said Pat White was the most athletic QB to come into the league since Vick.

Technically there's only 14 other teams on the schedule

    /smartassery

Besides, we all already know that the Patriots and Eagles are gonna play in the Bowl and everyone else is just playing for ****s and giggles.

For every reason there is for why we might struggle this year there is one for why we might be very successful so at this point its lets wait and see. I think a lot of people feel the same way but are taking a "safe bet" in predicting us to do worse.

I am so sick of the brady worship.
Don't care if he's talented or not, he's just a ball player. One good hit and he's gone, just like anyone else.
To hear some talk, he's un-touchable.
I don't cuss or call names or I would say a lot more.
He just makes me sick and I wish our poor, un-talented, sad and bad team would be the one to bust his chops and take ne out!

But you let someone talk about JT, Pennington etc. and all you hear is flack about it.

    Rant over for now.

If I was the media, I wouldn't count the Dolphins out. They "are" going to be a better team than last year and they will fight till the final whistle, unlike some prior Dolphin teams who ran out of gas or played not to lose toward the end of the game.
Opposing teams on the Dolphin schedule shouldn't pencil in the Dolphins game as a gimme or an easy game.

I was thinking a game at a time there. We'll have to prep for them twice but what I said didn't come across that way. The point was I don't think this regime thinks beyond the next game. of course they prescout for all but focus one week at a time.
