Many people said Gortat was our best defensive player last year. He is very good defensively. When he would come in for Dwight, we didn't miss a beat defensively. You're correct about Ryan Anderson. He's a very good rebounder to with good post skills. Only problem with him is athleticism.
I love this trade for you guys. VC still has a couple years in him. If he can play at a high level you guys should be repeat eastern champs for sure. VC and Kobe in the Finals would be epic.
I'm excited to see what Vinsanity can bring to O-Town. We haven't had a flashy guy like that since McGrady.
Yeh cuz him going to Boston would be a bad,bad thing. Him and KG could very easily play on the court together with Wallace spreading the floor with his shooting and KG killing defenders in the paint. That....would be bad.
Agreed... Plus, Wallace would be good for Dwight. Wallace in the past has always talked to Dwight and given him pointers on his post game and such. They actually are pretty close from my understanding. And, it would give us a pretty flexible and nasty lineup that allows us to go big or small with mismatches everywhere. Big: Dwight Wallace Lewis Carter Nelson Small: Dwight Lewis Pietrus Carter Nelson And Wallace can still drift out to the 3pt line as a 4 as well...
I just find to hard to believe that Wallace would take less money to come to Otown to hang with Dwight and have a possible shot at a championship.
Wallace wont get a big contract he's too old. No team that isnt a contender would want to put up with his temper, IMO. You have to take his bad with is good.
Less money? How much do you think he could command? Hes said that he wants to play for a legit contender... so that reduces the number of teams that will be bidding for him from the start.
Orlando getting their hands on Sheed sounds too good to be true....talk about an unstoppable force on paper....all stars & veterans at every position. There would also still be 4 dangerous shooters surrounding dwight once again.
im a big fan of both wallace and bass. but depending on what wallace is going to command and factoring in his age, i might rather have bass. everytime i watch the Mavs play Bass stands out to me. hes a hustle player that is a good rebounder and can finish around the basket. and at 24 his prime is ahead of him.
Yes but Perkins plays stupid. He makes alot of stupid fouls. Wallace is a big upgrade over Scalabrine
VC's 2009 Highlights...he's got plenty in the tank. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTI-z0j9J-g"]YouTube - Top 10 Vince Carter Plays 2009[/ame]
Magic may have an interest in Artest. Agent David Bauman said Tuesday afternoon that the Lakers, Cleveland Cavs and Orlando Magic were three teams he expected to join Houston in pursuit of Artest. http://blogs.pe.com/prosports/2009/06/could-artest-be-on-the-lakers.html
He's not. In big spots he's not. Now against the Clippers in a game nobody ever sees....he's deadly. he is only gonna be there 2 years...so i wouldn;t get a jersey of his...get a Howard jersey...he is a magic for a while.
I never got to shake hands and share the same court with Howard, so Im bias. Don't get me wrong, it was only a pick up game and it was just after he was accepted to North Carolina...and everyone kept getting out of his way trying to see Vince dunk the ball and he wouldnt do it. I guess he didnt want to risk any freak accident. He had a massive entourage with him even then lol. My sister was also in the band with him in middle school. Im definitely getting his magic jersey.
I have met him before. He is a very cool guy. (Vince) total dick: Chauncey Billups, Varejao, Mo Williams, jason Kidd, Kirk Heinrich, Gerald Wallace. Cool: V. Carter, Paul Pierce, James Posey, Carmelo Anthony
Lol, as I was typing that I was saying to myself, why would I get his jersey when he's going to be with us for 2 years? That would be a waste of money, lol. But I think you get my point. I'm excited to have Carter as a Magic.
Some people may be put off by that, but I think its a bit early to tell. Hypothetically speaking, if Orlando manages to win a title in the next 2 years, who's to say that Vince doesn't accept a new contract with Orlando to take much less money. 2 things made Vince happy enough to bolt out of the arena during a basketball camp screaming in excitement like a madman after he heard about the trade... 1 - Opportunity for a championship. He saw things breaking apart around him in NJ after he thought he had the chance to do it there. He never had a chance in Toronto. 2 - Central Florida. His entire family lives here, he even recently helped his old Mainland High School build an entire new campus, including a very impressive gymnasium. All thanks to his massive donations, his kindness, and his eagerness to help the community he grew up in instead of keeping it in his rear view mirror. Point being, I think if theres an opportunity for Vince to retire in CFL, he will jump at it. However, due to his current exorbitant contract a lot of this would depend on both the success of Orlando in these next 2 years as well as his personal success in our system in that time.
Couple of weeks ago, my friend met Rashard Lewis in a sub shop by the Publix he works at. pretty cool, Lewis's friend took the picture for him.

Brandon Bass, Nate Robinson, & Grant Hill....those names would fill some holes.... Could you even imagine Howard, Vince, & Nate being on the same freaking team? 3 of some of the best Dunk Champions....
Marcin Gortat for Brandon Bass Grant Hill as a Free Agent Who would we give up for Nate Robinson? JJ Reddick?
