I agree but their is no jury here and we all have a right to our opinions, and we will never have ALL the details or absolute truth so we form our opinions based on what we know (factually) and factually the guy did not live a normal celeb existence and there were many accusations of many not so complimentary things. If we require absolutes to form our opinions then no one will have an opinion on anything.............

Why on earth would you want to try to control or get annoyed by what someone else prays for or who thanks whom? Praying for something is not an exclusion of other topics. I think you owe Mary an apology for your comments, and ask yourself why you would react to someone in such a manner. Just MHO :hi5:

Certainly, my friend. Everyone has the right to form their own conclusions but I have the right to ask people to look at the most persuasive evidence before doing so. :) It is the scientist and former police officer in me. :knucks:

No we just know people that have a higher status get off on with a slap on the wrist while someone else will commit the same act and be put in prison.

I didnt do that Celt, I said that I find it very hard to buy in this instance because of the repeated accusation and his profile. It cuts both ways, its naive to believe that everyone is guilty who gets accused...... Buts its just as much so to believe that everyone who has ever gotten acquitted was innocent.

Like I said though, it doesn't matter what I think and my opinion is just that, an opinion.

I do not think so. I am not trying to control what or who anyone prays for...I said it irritates me.

Just like it would irritate me to have a public show of support (prayer) for Mark Becker or Scott Roeder and yet neglect an Ed Thomas or George Tiller.....It irritates me to pray for perpetrators and ignore victims.

I won't apologize for being annoyed by it.....Mary can pray for whatever is in her heart and I wish no control or influence and in fact support individual choice (especially in prayer) and have every right to be irritated by ignoring of victims.

    Sorry no apology available:):hi5:

He's gone now. Whether he was guilty or not is a mute point now.
IF he did it, or, IF the parents accepted money to be quiet will probably never be known. So why dwell on it now?
My prayers will be with his kids and family.
In my faith it's to late to pray for him, he's already where he's meant to be.
He was a human being, right or wrong in his actions and the way he lived his life. He's the one that has to ultimitly answer for the way he lived it.

He was a talented man, I always enjoyed his music and dancing. I hated that he was so lonely and mis-guided through his younger years.

I too, think Mary deserves an apology Holly. Her opinion and beliefs are worth just as much as anyone else's here.

Let's be fair & honest here. Michael left his mark on the music industry & it is certainly impressive. When looking back over history he can only really be rivaled by the likes of Elvis & the Beatles. It wasn't just because of marketing either, he was truly talented.

That said, I turned my back on him like most people did, and I think it would be wrong for everyone to simply forget the scandals he was involved in, simply because he has passed on.

However, I think that despite some of the terrifying accusations & charges levied against him - it is only right that we not spit on the man's coffin...May he rest in peace & I hope that people give him the respect that the dead deserves, & move on.

Michael was a victim of his own massive success, RIP King.

I'll give him status as a very talented "performer". I don't think he was anything impressive as a singer, or as a crafter of songs.

lets talk about the other issue here....Rx abuse

why are painkillers so acceptable and readily available in this country DESPITE their potential for abuse and devastating overall health side affects?

yet an organic painkiller that has never killed anyone and has very mild potential for abuse supposedly has no medicinal value and is treated like the devil's medicine. what a screwed up country.

and the other day the FDA FINALLY pulled Hydroxycut off the shelves after all these years of everyone and their mother knowing how dangerous that crap was. Yet I read that the FDA doesnt even REGULATE most dietary supplements. So if you want to medicate yourself with a plant thats been used for centuries, you go to jail. But feel free taking diet pills thatll give you a heart attack. Thats America.

Myself I think MJ was a great loss to music and accusations against him have never been proven and could very well have been trumped up for money (yes I know he did have a weird relationship with kids and something may have happened but we'll never know, so character assassination is uncalled for in my opinion).

I personally wasn't a MJ fan but recognize his importance to music. I think he is the last great musician, on the level with Elvis. My generation doesn't have many icons and I think he was likely the last we'll ever see. I have so much respect for this guy musically and it saddens me how someone who has passed can be attacked so viciously without proof of anything.

So rest in peace MJ and I honor and respect what you have done for the world of music while respecting your life and legacy. Once again rest in peace.

True and some well known actual convicts have been loved by many people since their deaths and I never have heard the kind of attacks I have heard against MJ at different places on the web today. Its sad to me that he is so disrespected for all he accomplished for something no one can prove without a doubt he did. Even so the US judicial system does have a purpose.

A legend that I truly can't say enough about. Today is a day that is incredibly sad for the world of music and I think its truly one of those historic days that will live on forever. I know I'll be listening to more MJ in the next few days than ever before and mourning the death of legacy. RIP MJ once again.
