I hope you guys win the title, after you smacked my Raptors around in the playoffs last year(I'll never forget game one, you guys honestly made every freaking shot you took!!!) I've had a growing amount of respect for the Magic. Game one was tough, but I expect a big bounce back. Bring the title to the East guys!
great call by stan van gundy on that last second alley oop. Courtney should of made that no questions, but outside of that, he really ****ed this game up for Orlando IMO. Courtney Lee 12 ****ing minutes? ridiculous. JJ Redick..27 minutes. amazing. they need to run more Lineups with Lee at point with Dwight and Gortat on the floor at the same time. Alston is killing us.... and please someone expalin to me why Lee only got 12 minutes while ****ing JJ got 27? anyone? because to me thats the game.
I really liked the end of the game when they had Courtney, Redick, Dwight, Gortat, and Turkoglu on the court with no PG Turk can play PG
Here we go Magic fans, another night of being the underdog and not being expected to win. I love it. Let's go out and disappoint some people.
Well, **** guys, we had a helluva run, and gave it our best shot. I'm proud to be an Orlando Magic fan and I hope you are too, even after this. We took it as far as we could, but fell short. We lost to a great team, but it doesn't change the way I feel about these guys. We'll be back. We've got a decent nucleus for a great team next year, and I hope we build on it. Thanks for hanging out Magic fans, and I appreciate your posts on this thread. It made the season that much better. Have a great offseason. And as always....GO MAGIC!!!!!
I heard on the radio this morning that Orlando would be willing to pay the luxury tax to keep him, but I'll believe it when I see it. Posted via Mobile Device
I would rather sign a real Power Forward this off season for cheap and let Hedo walk. I think we can win without him.
"The New Jersey Nets have agreed to a trade in principle with the Magic that will send Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to Orlando for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee, two league sources told ESPN.com."
are they really gonna pay all that money to hedo, vc, and lewis? plus dwight...i think hedo walks now
Hedo does not = Carter Carter did pretty much everything better than Hedo statistic wise, and he's much faster, quicker, and stronger than Turk. Tell me, who on Cleveland is going to guard Vince? Moe Williams?
Wow, I like this deal. We lost Lee for Vince, Battie for Anderson, and let Alston go who was probably going to start some drama. The only problem is money. What happens with Turk now?
I like the move, I'd rather have Carter taking the last shot of the game then Lee, and this should take some pressure off of Dwight Howard. To me, the Magic's weakness was they had no one who could slash to the hoop and score routinely.
personally i will feel great about this move if we get a true 4 to play along side Dwight, while shifting Rashard to his more comfortable position at 3. im not sure about this trade if we resign Hedo though. how is everyone going to get their shots? what about the money situation? i was a really big fan of Lee and his future and liked Skip as a backup PG. any list of the upcoming Free Agents this off season?
Actually, I do. Gortat was nothing when he came here. Basically a third string center trying to earn some playing time. Then he got better and better. I expect Anderson to improve alot. He had an OK rookie year, and he's 21. But he's not here to replace Gortat, he's here to replace Battie. That's an upgrade IMO.
If I remember correctly, Ryan Anderson's strength was that he was a pretty good shooter as a big man. Speaking of Gortat, I expect the Knicks to court him heavily and I really liked him in Orlando as I thought he was their best defender in the middle. I know Dwight won player of the year but he's always going for the block from what I've seen, which annoys me because I feel like he doesn't understand how to defend the paint and he's just relying on his god given abilities. Gortat understood how to take charges and knew when to go up for the block.
