listening to sirius nfl radio today a caller was asking about the phins and tim ryan and pat kirwin both agreed that they had heard or been told i don't remember that gibril is having trouble covering his deep half of the field,this is news to me . has anyone else heard anything?
Probably the OTA stuff DWhorton, and Ryan and Kirwin are not fellin' the love for the Phins, maybe a month ago they had Wake being cut.
actually they are pretty high on the phins as of now predicting 10-6 or 9-7 record. they're saying they will surprise some people this year.
This is the first I've heard of it. Who knows?....He's learning a new system so maybe it's just a case of Wilson having to think about what he's doing instead of just reacting. I'm not going to get too worried unless he's struggling during the preseason.
I don't think it's too big of a deal. He's going through a learning curve and I'm positive once the pre-season starts he'll be laying wood.
Haven't heard of trouble concerning performance at any of the OTA-Mini camp stuff. I HAVE read that in his previous seasons he has been considered "stiff" in pass coverage.
I read that he was beaten for a TD by Armstrong (wasn't everybody) during the OTAs. That could lead to the assumption that he was having difficulty covering deep.
Even if it is true I dont think its THAT serious at the moment. He still has quite some time to prove he is our starter.

You have to keep in mind that Wilson has had issues in the past in coverage, this isn't anything new. He's never been known as a good coverage S, he's more of a hitter than anything and we'll have to see how he can adjust to Quarters. It's too early to hit the panic button, but we shouldn't look at legitimate criticisms of a player as a media conspiracy to keep the Phins from getting good press.

guys im well aware of the OTAS and so is tim and pat. we all know his strength is run support , which makes this signing a head scratcher.i hope this is all rumor trust me.
It's all good, we have weeks and weeks to go until just the pads go on, the rumor mill is one of the few things that is going on at the moment. Heck, to read just the Dolphins Blogs, Nate Garner is the player to watch..
He didn't have too many problems with the Giants. The guy will be fine. Everyone gets beat in practice. He is a great safety who will be there when we need him. I have total faith
I'm not too worried. Our CB's look like they'll be great this year and our youngster Cris Clemons has been getting good press. Looks like he's coming along well.
