True.....to get real pizza, you go to individual, owner run, hand-tossing real pizza joints like The Big Cheese in South Miami, Rusticana on the Trail or Neapolitana on Flagler Street. I do have to give kudo's to one franchise joint and that is Pizzaria Uno's, who are the deep-dish kings, and still do it better than anyone else. The Hut ? Blech.......
I want to go to the pizzeria that's on the commercial with the "Mambo Italiano" music playing in the background with the dude flipping the dough around like a frisby.
cardboard with marinara topping > any fast food pizza. Dominoes, Pizza hut, pappa johns.... it's all crap.
I feel confident the Dolphins are going undefeated this year. The truth however, is Chicago pizza sucks monkey nuts and the Dolphins will lose at least one game.
You must've never had Marco's Pizza, which is really quite good. And the best pizza I ave ever had was in Paducah, KY. I think the place was called "the Brick Oven."
Dont think so brother. If I were still in Tucson, it would be a 5-1/2 hour drive, or a quick 40 minutes via Southwerst. From Dallas, it is ohhhhhhhh 20+ hours and about 1,000,000 dollars...so probably gonna have to skip it...
No offense, but I've heard this more times than I can remember. I file it under 'urban legend'. Maybe there are less crappy joins up there. But I've been to so called 'great' establishments in Manhattan and Brooklyn that were pretty uninspired. Oh, but the guy serving it was extra gruff.
I liked pizza hut when I was a kid but had not gone there in several years. More location than anything. So I went there for lunch today with a couple buddies after this thread made me curious. Had a stuffed crust supreme. It wasn't as good as it seemed when I was a kid but wasn't bad either. I'd put it between frozen pizza and the better local shops. The main issue I have with all chain pizza joints is they seem to use a pound of salt on one pie. That seems to be the case with all chain restaurants in general though. I guess to sell more drinks. I'm not sure the name change is a good idea. I wonder how the name change effected Boston Market. On one hand why mess with established name recognition. On the other maybe they think a new image will open new, broader demographics thay have lost or never had.
at all you babbling on and on about which town has the best pizza. I'm sure every town has joints that have great pizza, and joints that have not so great pizza. Seems that way everywhere.
Amelia's. In Casselberry. Its on North 17-92 just past the 436 intersection. They don't deliver. Their garlic bread ain't the best but their pizza is. My entire New York Italian family ate there every other Sunday.
I wonder if McDonalds has considered changing their name to just Donalds. THen ditch the clown and bring in Donald Trump and have him be the spokesperson. Have a Big Mac, or youre fired!!!
Per PizzaHut.com, the name change is not happening. If only the Sci-Fi Channel could have had a similar moment of clarity.
I'm glad its not true. It was bad enough when Kentucky Fried Chicken changed to KFC and back. The Hut would have been even worse. Do any of you like thin crust? There's a place here called 'Crust' that has only cracker thin crust pizza, and its damn good.
KFC didn't change back. And that was much better branding, as its customers had been informally calling it "KFC" for years.
