They're changing the name to "The Hut". Lame. http://http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Investing/Extra/pizza-hut-changes-its-name.aspx?GT1=33009
Papa John's could never get away with this. "Hey, what do you want for dinner? Im gonna go to The John. That's great, but what do you wanna eat?"
Papa John's Pizza's suck man. . In my opinion they use cheap nasty ingredients and the grease left behind in the box. . grim. . give me a dominos any day. . As for Pizza Hut changing it's name to 'the Hut' meh. .
That'd be like someone starting a website called "The Phins". /ducks Celt //spin moves away from Muck
They're doing this so they can sell more than just pizza. Not what they sell should even be called pizza. No one, but no one can justify any national chain pizza delivery joint over the other. Pizza Hut vs. Pap John's vs. Dominos vs. Little Cesar's vs. Hungry Howies vs. Whatever ones I'm forgetting is no different than trying to argue which is better between: crap vs. doodoo vs. dookie vs. turd vs. poop vs. ****. Get your pizza from Mom & Pop shops! - Message brought to you by Americans For Non-**** Pizza -
Couldn't agree more. Big chain pizza SUCKS. Local mom & pop pizza places actually CARE about the product they serve.
Fixing the link: http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Investing/Extra/pizza-hut-changes-its-name.aspx?GT1=33009 This is the dumbest move since Sci-Fi changed to SkyFy (or "Skiffy," as I like to call it).
A very poor marketing decision which they'll live to regret. Look for "The Hut" in the next round of bailouts a couple years from now.
Big chain pizza = cheese on cardboard. And no offense to anyone, but I've yet to get good pizza anywhere outside of NY. California pizza should be ashamed to call itself pizza, and the pizza I've had in Florida is atrocious. Texas was even worse. Even Connecticut, so close to NY, has crappy pizza.
You come to Orlando or Ocala, I'll give you places to go. Florida has good pizza, you just got to know where.
I like take out pizza. There is one great pizza place down here in South Florida near the Broward courthouse. It can't remember the name, but it was really good. The guy doesnt deliver, it's a small shop and he makes it amazing.
That much I've heard. Gotta try that. Is it true that there's one pizza maker down there who actually imports his water from NY because he says that's what gives it the flavor?
From what Ive heard, thats a gimmick some shops use to promote their pizza. I think its more Urban Legend than anything tbh.
Going away from a well and long-established brand when there's no real, pressing need is folly. And think of the money they're going to have to invest to change all their branding; signs, menus, boxes...everything. I wouldn't be surprised if when it's all said and done, that re-branding costs close to a billion. That's the kind of thing that bankrupts successful companies.
Depends which Rays (the one across from Carnagie Deli....blows) P.S. NY/NJ pizza is the best no doubt....especially the thin crust of Federici's!!!!! (http://www.federicis.com/about.html)
Its not even a cool name. And you know what is really funny about that? All the money they spend rebranding, they could have spent creating a better product. That would have been MUCH better for them than a dumb name change.
But if you opt for pizza when there's a beautiful, one-pound corned beef masterpiece on rye waiting a few feet away, you deserve what you get.
hahahaha....mixing up the palette over the course of several days....that Deli is crazy good though...so true!
Hey, you have great seafood and Sushi...(love the one a few yards from Safeco Field). http://www.carnegiedeli.com/purchase1.html You can order, they will ship....
