You guys have a very good shot, you have proven you can play with anyone, as long as SVG doesn't get in the way.

    lol irony

    Cause they're Lakers fans?

  2. Great series Magic fans, your team is going to be there again next season, just keep beating the crap out of the Celtics, that said, go Lakers!

    basketball is a different game.

Two stars are better than one star and 4 good players.

anyway...the Magic will have some serious decisions to make this offseason and next.

They might want to rebuild with a different set and get Rashard lewis contract of the books.

Hedo could be gone..and Jameer is going to get a fat contract in a year.

I'd just rather be in the Heat's shoes with a young team, 1 star and alot of cap space.

But hey...hopefully the Magic will stay good and we can start a rivalry.

    Congrats to the LAKERS!

Wonderful team. They deserve this. Please re-sign Ariza and Lamar. Keep the nucleus together for a few more years.

This brought a smile to my face. Thank you L.A.

Section, I hope we get into a rivalry. I think we both know it'll end up like that because Boston is Old and Lebron will leave Cleveland.

I won't speak for others, but I have been a diehard Lakers fan on this and the other board for years. To label Laker fans as bandwagoners does nothing to temper our team's winning and our celebration of it. It only serves as comfort for you in trying to convince yourself that it is impossible for L.A. to have such loyal fans.

L.A. won, and its fans across the world are celebrating, smiling and enjoying themselves.

    DEAL WITH IT.

that was one of the worst basketball performances ive ever witnessed in an NBA finals game. The Magic looked lost. The way they played this series, they didnt deserve to win.

    Congrats to Phil "X" Jackson
Kobe-you finally got that monkey off your back. Now what will be the "haters" say?
Trevor-MVP but we'll let KB get the trophy but without the real "Man of STEAL" we wouldnt get past Houston/Denver! Congrats former Bruin!!!

Now PLEASE resign Odom and Ariza and this team can make a run for the next FOUR years and start up another dynasty.

i guess you enjoyed Howards Offensive game??:headscratch:

If Howard had Gasols offensive skills he would be unstoppable. Thats what JVG meant.

Isn't that contradictory? 2 Starting caliber SF, who are both going to be seeking the kind of money they are worth after a championship run...

    2 different postions SF/PF.

I think Odom will/can take less money than say a weaker team can offer for another run and stay in LA. he LOVES it here. But we'll see. Plus Magic Johnson made a comment on TV "Thanks Trevor/Lamar you just made my wallet lighter"...LOL

Ok, the result is still the same. Odom would have to accept coming off the bench & taking less money than he could get elsewhere. That's not exactly a common occurrence in the NBA.

depending on match-up LO can start and Bynum comes off the bench.

Yes LOs not your common NBA player.

    1. He loves LA
    2. He been at the bottom before (clippers) and doesnt want to go back.
    3. He's not a young egotistically players and needs to be in the spotlight.
    4. He's made millions in the past. Now it should be about "more rings"

I'd be shocked if he left.

I know people who couldnt give a damn about Orlando all season that suddenly cared when they were in the finals.

It works both ways, and I dont see why you two are even arguing this. Your team lost, end of story. It doesn't matter what kind of fans there are, the team and fans still deserve it.

A lot of people jumped on the Dolphins bandwagon this year as well.

I think they concept of "bandwagon" fans is vastly overrated. It is bandied about due to people being pissed off that a certain team won. It gets thrown around year after year after year, and its annoying.

You want to know why Lakers fans don't pipe up and talk a whole bunch during the regular season? Because it makes no sense. We know that the team is going to the playoffs, where anything can happen. Look at all the Cavalier fans that were raving about how they got the top seed in the league and how they had one loss at home all season long. How did that work out for them?

Fans of teams that have been there before know when the appropriate time to crow about their team is. And for us loyal Lakers fans, the time is now.

    DEAL WITH IT.

I still don't understand why you are dissapointed with the Magics. Are you a Magic fan?

Also, there is not guarantee they would have won with KG. Plus, we didn't have Nelson. He is not as good as KG, but he's REALLY important for Orlando.

We might be ashamed if we failed to get out of the first round because of the Atlanta Hawks.

We might be ashamed if we barely squeaked out a +.500 season with 43 wins.

We might be ashamed if anyone expected us to get where we did, and still achieving what we did with a hobbled-patched together backcourt & an unconventional frontcourt.

    But we are not.

That's all I have to say.

Ok, I dont mind if you banter back and forth with other posters about your magic but when you start talkin crazy I gotta step in. First and foremost the Hawks Almost upset the Celtics last yr, you know the same team that won the championship last yr? The Hawks are a good team. The Heat have a brand new coach who has never been a head coach before in the NBA and he takes them to the NBA playoffs with a rookie Point ,one mega star, and a bunch of role players. The Magic have not one but two proven all star caliber points, all be it one was hurt. Possible two of the best wingmen in Lewis and Hedo and probably the best center in the league in Howard, and a supposed proven winner in SVG. The Magic were DOMINATED in the finals. Winning one game with that kind of talent is pathetic! I know I know, we were one or two points away from blah blah blah. The point is you still lost. It doesn't matter if it was by one or a thousand.

i dont see how Magic Fans can be ashamed sure they got dominated in the finals but OVERALL they had a successful season. Its going to hurt for awhile since they came up short but who expected them to

    1. Beat the Defending Champs in game 7 on the road
    2. Beat the #1 overall Team in the League TWICE at there Home who had only 2 losses at home.

The Magic just ran into the best team Top to bottom in the league.
Nothing to be ashamed. no other team should be talking smack to the Magic fans(except Lakers fans) because Orlando is the best team in the EAST and 2nd best team in the league :shifty: :hi5:

Well said. Magics are good. They'll resign Turkey Glue and they should get Vet free agent. (Rasheed Wallace would be nice.) Dont mind most of these Heat fan they just know that they will be a sub par east team with a star player. Hell they dont even know if dwade will be there after next year. So they have more issues then the Magics especially since the owner said they will pay the luxury tax to win a championship.
