you're funny. He's probably not the dirtiest but he's a lock for the top 5. Has also been first, second and fourth in technical fouls 3 of the last 4 years.

No but for real, its not Kobe's fault:up: not that is funny is not funny

there's plenty of proof in the video posted above....not that this is news to anyone.

Now I'm just waiting for all for the SVG haters to chime in with their comments any second now, and invariably start talking about D-Wade and the Miami Heat for some reason or another. Counting down to the "why was Nelson even playing, with Alston and Lee on the bench, blah blah blah blah"

This really sucks as a fan, knowing that your team should be up 3-1 instead down 3-1.

That should have been an offensive foul on Kobe. He elbowed him right in the face.
But the game should not have gone that far. Orlando clearly lost this game.

technical fouls don't make one dirty. good try though. 90% of his T's are for complaining the the refs....just like every player in the NBA does

Lets keep it friendly guys. It was a good game. I will agree with the fact that Kobe probably gets away with more then the average player, but alot of the superstars do. IMO the elbow was not intentional. Kobe has never struck me as a dirty player. Why would the best player in the NBA be dirty? He has no need for it. The one thing that made me mad was the inconsistency of calls by the refs. If Kobe gets the call every time he does a pump fake, so should J.J. and Pietrus.

i dont why all the lakers hater keep complaining about the fouls when orlando have been getting the majority of the calls. Major home cooking last night for orlando. Regardless that doesnt matter. If you are tie or close to it with 2min left in the game there is no reason why you shouldnt win while playing at home. 17 turnover, 17 missed free throws, horrible defense in the final min that not championship team.

Now the Section126 stimulus package comes to the end...with one last bet.

Orlando STRAIGHT up in Game 5.

The Lakers will then end it in game 6. and I nailed me preseason prediciton..although I got the EC team horribly wrong.

The Lakers are just CLEAR CUT the best team in basketball. Think about it. Kobe absolutely sucked last night. They still won. They find a way...all the time.

Orlando flat out blew that game last night and have been very unlucky in these finals. LUCK plays a huge part and when you have it all going against you...you can;t win anything.

The refs were down the line lst night in fact favoring Orlando a little..and they still lost. Just bad. I won;t get into the coaching...you guys know how I feel about SVG.

You just don't win in the NBA finals by turning the ball over & missing free throws the way we did. We gave the game to LA, and its pretty depressing.

Jameer should not have been in the game at the end the way he was played. It was reminiscent of Game 2, and I thought Van Gundy realized with Game 3 that we were best fit to use a healthy Alston rather than a gimped Nelson as our go to PG.

Even just putting Lee out there for that final play would have been fine, it's not like we needed a true PG out on the floor to defend that 3. Nelson just didn't have his head into the game, and for some GD reason was trying to defend the 2 while we were up 3 on their final possession. At that point in the game he should have been in the man's grill, and why not foul in that situation if you do it early?

Van Gundy has been out coached in BOTH of our 2 close losses. I'll give him credit where it's due for getting us here, but man do I feel he really screwed the pooch on this one, despite the fact that our players still had opportunities to save him from the loss.

-Oh, and that Elbow....definitely wasn't intentional, but it was obviously a offensive foul that should have been called. That was the biggest call/no call of the game, & the officials have no excuse for letting it go. Overall it was an objectively called game I thought. Kobe didn't seem to get the bail-out calls that he generally receives, and they let the post men bang around more than I have seen in a while. If only they made the right call on their OT Elbow-3 pt .....

funniest thing i heard all month.

the Orlando team plain out choked, got out muscled, got outcoached And the Lakers wanted it more even when the Refs wanted the Magic to win(17-2 FTA in the 2nd half). End of story.

Loving the Kobe hate. It means he is doing his job.

This is why I said I wasn't worried after game three. L.A. knows how to close games. Their team is filled with players that have been here before, and in the end, I think that is a major factor on who wins these games and who doesn't. They know how to manage the pressure better in my opinion.

I watched this game at a Buffalo Wild Wings and loved the atmosphere. Half the crowd were Lakers fans, the other half, Magic...or Laker haters to be more accurate.

Every bucket was met with appaluse/boos, and of course, when Fisher tied it towards the end of regulation, the roof nearly came off the joint. Fun way to watch the game.

The Magic have nothing to be ashamed of. They are a good team with very real potential to be great very very soon. I think that they will be back next year.

My opinions on Kobe have changed dramatically over the postseason. This yr I have seen a different man then in yrs past. As strange and impossible as it sounds he took his game to another level this yr. And the team around him had responded well. Ariza has been such an x factor. The third quarter has been his quarter in every game of the finals.

Choked? No not really. We weren't hitting free throws all night. We just didn't have it last night.

And no, the refs were not on the Magics side. Kobe got foul calls magic players should have gotten while the lakers should have gotten some calls as well. It was a good game by the refs. The Lakers are just the better team.

Disagree with the bolded part. Jameer Nelson was playing really good at the end of the game. Made the right passes and found the open men.

Jameer nelson asked SVG before the inbounds play that ended with Fisher's game tying 3...."Do I foul?"

    SVG: "NO".

ahhh.....I will leave it at that.

BTW, Jason Whitlock (in his article today) asks today for SVG to resign out of common decency.

I have not followed SVG's coaching career, but I do know that he drew up a perfect play in the game two to end the game, not his fault the guy blew the layup. Also, not his fault that the team committed so many mental mistakes in last night's game. However, in going up against a legend in Phil Jackson, he's going to be outcoached by default. The way the Lakers came out in the 3rd quarter, clearly the halftime adjustments made by PJ and staff helped them win the game.

As for game 5 and laying cash... I might have to sit this one out... there's no telling. A young team at home in an elimination game is harder to predict vs a veteran team in the same situation.

I shouldn;t complain because basically..my entire hot streak in these playoffs has mostly been due to the orlando magic..but I need my head examined betting all the money I have bet these playoffs on a SVG coached team.

    He is just terrible.

Dave Wannsdtadt watched that game last night wondering WTF Stan was doing.

Jameer played 19 minutes straight? did I read that right? and he is so painfully SLOW that it plays right into the Laker pace.

    just bad. horrible.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING! OK, he told him not to foul. He didn't tell him to give him a wide open 3 point shot, did he? No, all he said was do not foul. And that is smart because we were brickin free throw shots all day.

SVG resigned the same way Wanny resigned. They are nice guys, so they were given the chance to save some face. Let's not kid ourselves, both guys were losing their job and would've been fired had they not been stand up about it.

Wade wouldnt even sniff the finals if it wasnt for Shaq. Shaq got the heat to the finals beating the Pistons. WADE LIKE 20+ FT/ games. Yep Kobe hasnt done that. Kobe has just rebuilt the Lakers from a gifted trade to the Heat which destroyed the Lakers. Leaving them with players like Smush Parker, Brian Grant, and eventually Kwame Brown. And now he's bring them to their 2nd Finals and about to win one. Jordan never did it without Pippen, Magic never without Kareem, Bird never without Parrish and ill throw in Wade never without Shaq just because your heat fan - All HOF players except for Wade. The way things are looking with this Magic team and Lebron in the east it will be a while before the Heat get to the Conf. Finals. Kobe has just escalated himself to the ELITE LEVEL OF THE HOF.

man, you guys are going on for pages about stuff that has nothing to do with this game. Just wondered if anybody's still interested in the playoffs. All this coulda', woulda' shoulda' stuff is meaningless.

The Magic still have one more game at home to prove we deserve to be in the NBA Finals, and I hope we get that point across. Tough luck last night against an awesome team, refs or no refs, we lost. I just hope we win this last game at home. Even if we lose the series, it would be good to leave the home fans with a smile on their face going home on Sunday night.

Not getting swept like in the Houston Rockets Finals is a major plus, but let's win just one more for everybody that stuck with the team all year, including a few faithful on this board.

My team won a championship. What happened to yours? (left yourself wide open)

The future is bright in Orlando for one more year till we kick you off the curb in 2010.

Good Luck with our cap space? That "capspace" will be your undoing...I don't know why you would wish us luck with it.

and as for Spoelstra...hey..maybe we will trade him to you for 2 2nd round picks if we can him. (you guys fell for that one once before)

But..he is gonna stick around...you see...he knows that you don;t ask for switches on High Pick and rolls when your opponent keeps running them at you with a Center and only......well.....the best basketball player on the planet. Great defensive strategy Stan...you are a genius.

Phil Jackson is dropping the triangle for stretches at a time because Stan is so helplessly stupid.
