http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=653335&sec=transfers&cc=5901 Acquisition number one. Wenger has said he wants to load up on the defensive side so it'll be interesting to see whose next.
Kaka signed a six year deal with Real Madrid at 9 mill Euros per year. The ACMilan got 65 Million Euros........sad day for Milan fans like Myself!
Kaka to Real Madrid....confirmed!! Here is the first english article I could find on google. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/08062009/58/la-liga-kaka-completes-real-move.html I am sooooooooo upset right now. Milan will surely loose Pirlo and Seedorf to Chelsea as well. But, AC Milan has been ranked a top 5 team in Europe, which mean for next years Champions League, they won't clash with any of the top 8 teams. As an aside, Milan will be aggressive in getting new players. I speculate Drogba or Adebayor.
Lets sell Adebayor and buy Edin Dzeko with that money. Arsenal are apparently the favourites to land Dzeko from Wolfsburg. Boro Primorac, whose a Bosnian as well I believe, has apparently been giving great scouting reports on Dzeko (26 goals in the Bundesliga makes everyone open their eyes IMO) and he's now at the top of Wenger's acquisition/target list. However, I think it will be difficult to obtain Dzeko from Wolfsburg. The price tag currently is running at $8M euros I believe but I would assume they'd have to nearly double that to acquire him. He's big on staying at Wolfsburg right now and is reportedly working on an extension with them. If the negotiations fail, he will look to other clubs in Europe. Further, Arsenal has been linked to Juventus' defender Giogrio Chiellini and Fullham's Hangeland, who I'm not familiar with to be honest. If the Gunners don't purchase Dzeko, they are set to turn their sights on Roque Santa Cruz once again and Bordeaux striker Chamakh, who I have never heard of. Anyone got anything on him? Also, hearing that Michael Owen to Villa for $55,000 euros weekly. Also, the Tevez and Man City deal is finalized. I don't have any confirmation though.
I couldn't agree more! Along with Bendtner and Eboue. The latter of the two are not talented enough for the premiership. The amount of times these two have cost us could have been the difference between us and Chelski.
According to the "Gazzetta" Milan is close to sign Dzeko from Wolfsburg for 25mill. Would be a great addition from Milan, I always like him.
Only 1st place make it to the Cup Second place teams have to play off versus other second place teams Tie for Bulgaria basically has Italy and Ireland top 2. We will see who wins #1
Anyone know anything about the tourney next week 8 teams USA italy brazil spain iraq south africa My question is what kind of rosters are these teams bringing??
It's the confederations cup heres the link http://www.fifa.com/confederationscup/index.html I'll be surportig the Kiwi's! They've got no hope but as I used to live there and my family still do and know a couple of the guys who'll be playing so it gives me some interest to track through the tourney. I can see Spain and Brazil being in the final
You can find the team Italy is bringing online somewhere. I can tell you this though, Spain, Italy and Brazil are bringing their full squads. Same ones they use for qualifiers. EDIT: I found it: Italy: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=652688&cc=5901 Brazil: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/soccer/05/21/brazil.squad.ap/index.html
I also know that we are going to a retro jersey. The shorts and socks will be brown I believe too. http://www.socceramericashop.com/frontpage-items-italy-confederations-cup-home-soccer-jersey.html
Everything with Dzeko has been on hold. Apparently Milan and Wolfsburg did talk but no offer was made because Wolfsburg said they would turn down whatever was thrown at them. I like those.
3-2 New Zealand at the half! How? WTF! I Cant see the game but am getting a lot of messages from some happy kiwis!
Milan offered 20 Mill, Wolfsburg doesn't need any money, but Dzeko clearly said that he always was a Milan fan, since he was very young and he wants to play for Milan. Galliani and Dzeko father already have an agreement in reference to how much money and the duration of the contract. I really believe that Milan will come back with 30 mill and maybe Dzeko is Rossonero.
It's a friendly, relax As for the the tourney coming up the lower calibre teams always come to play hard and the top dogs don't do as well So USA will probably do well and Spain,Brazil and Italy will not do so well I say 1 of the top 3 teams won't make the final 4
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10577848 New Zealand loses to Italy but this article prasies how well they play The big boys have to win 5-0 in these games and in the game of soccer that is very difficult
3 - 0 Its funny how before the Finland - Russia match everybody insisted Russia was on trouble. I mean, cmon, Finland Tied Germany! And after the defeat, all of a suddem "Well, yeah, cmon Russia was teh favorite the whole time" I am proud of how my boys played. I missed the first half, was at the stupid orientation, but caught the game from 50th minute. Kicked ***! Now we just have to keep the phase. I dont really care about catching germany. We are locked in to 2nd place, so as long as Russia doesnt go pull a Favre, we are set http://www.eurosport.ru/football/world-cup-2010-qualifying/2008/event_grp16.shtml
Hey how'd you catch the game? Foxsoccer? If not, dose anybody have any sites where I can watch games at?
You can't get much lower than NZ - and I mean that in a nice way! (well maybe except Andorra!) but Italy should have walked this, even if it was the reserves, the standard of football between the two is worlds apart
Last summer Brazil went to NZ and did exactly that. 5-0 and just kept the ball the entire game, that was a lesson for the all-whites. One of the differences is that the main football seasons are ending but the New Zealand based players are about to start their season shortly
£80Mil!!!??? They're avin a bubble!!! I still think £56mil for Kaka was too much but £80Mil for Ronaldo is ridiculous! I can't see him be any more succesfull for Real than he had with United
Holy crap. 80M for a whiny and diving athlete. Not to mention he chokes when he's on the big stage. Beautiful. Ah well, at least he's out of the PL.
Finished second in 04 euros and 4th in 06 world cup. Scored in the champions league final last year. How is that choking on the biggest stage?
I can't stand Ronaldo or any Portugese player. My son is named Cristiano and everyone asks is it for Ronaldo and I say **** no I will say with Kaka and Ronaldo, Real is back to a top 4 Euro club
It will be interesting to see if they can all play together. They lost Cannavaro which will hurt the back line. To many super stars on a team doesnt always work. They need some glue guys too.
The amount of talent Madrid now have in midfield is seriously scary. But with Cannavaro gone, they still need to fill up the gap left there.
United look like they could be using some of the money from the Ronaldo transfer on Antionio Valencia. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5376544,00.html
