Yea he was fat for awhile. Not Kristy Alley size though.

He's supposed to be in a movie with 50 cent... Idk what to think about that.

    Megalist now updated with mini-reviews.

Saw Yes Man tonight. A feel-good movie that won't blow you away, but will put a smile on your face. Yes, Jim Carrey does his normal schtick, but you care about his character from beginning to end.

Which begs the question, have you ever been glad you paid for a movie?

Hello! Could the premise have been any lamer? The Village and The Happening are two movies that were woefully misrepresented in their trailers. :pity:

Autopsy - A film from the "Afterdark Horrorfest" if any of you have ever heard of it. I went in with little expectations and it was pretty good. Extremely gory, something you wouldn't want to bring your wife or girlfriend to see, unless you enjoy creeping them out.

Rush Hour 2 - I love this movie, I can watch it over and over and not get bored of it. The same jokes get me every time. I still can't believe how bad Rush Hour 3 was.

Which means, sadly, that the trailer did it's job. It made you want to see the movie-after that it has no responsibility. Which is totally wrong-we should be able to sue the trailers for our price of admission plus pain and suffering.

The Happening had an interesting premise but failed epically in 80 percent of its execution.

I agree that the marketing for The Village and Lady in the Water was completely wrong. Unlike The Happening however, I didn't have a problem with the execution of either of those movies.

watched fanboys last night(actually twice in the last 3 days) and it was great. lot of good actors in it like william shatner(i know i know),the guy that plays in blades of glory and napolian dynomite(who to me in this movie looks so much like shia lebouf from transformers),jay and silent bob,the mexican in all the tarintino movies and on and on. 9/10 for a comedy exclusive to blockbuster.

also started watching curious case of forrest gump er i mean benjiman button..wow it's a long, slow movie that kept me interested just enough to not stick my head in the oven..did i mention it's slow? i didn't give a rating due to not finishing it yet.

That movie was ****astic on all fronts

Saw the Mist: 8/10 - a pretty solid horror flick, I couldnt stop saying "holy ****" at the ending, more studios need to take the "road less traveled" woth their movies.

Watched Passengers with Anne Hathaway last night. While sort of derivative of some other twisty-turny movies, it's worth a look. The acting is quite good.

noone will carry it but blockbuster because it's a blockbuster exclusive..meaning you can only get it at blockbuster video.

hmm..i didn't go down far enough to the other poster saying it's on amazon?
yea you may be able to find it online but that kinda defeats the purpose of being "exclusive" to blockbuster video. not saying that amazon doesn't have it but you probly won't find it at a wallyworld, k(for krap)mart or any other video rental place.

the ending of the mist was probly the only part of the movie i didn't like. i felt they should've ended it the way the book ended. idk i just liked that version better. theres a new king movie coming out soon but don't recall the name of it

sooo is this thread just for movies we've seen or can we add movies coming out we would like to see? 2 previews on fanboys looked really good but i won't comment on them till i find out if it's ok to discuss here or if i should make new threads for each.

I thought the ending made a decent movie become amazing. It was so unexpected (I loved the novella) and brutal, and watching the entire movie in black and white (the way the director envisioned it) made it an even better experience.

The end was the best part! It was fitting IMO.

Here was a man so drunk with power that greed consumed his whole life. He couldn't even be happy for his own son (a son that wasn't really his, mind you). Even when he had everything, he had nothing.
