Chandler failed his physical, back to the Hornets: Tyson Chandler failed his physical, meaning Chris Wilcox will stay with the Thunder instead of joining the Hornets. Wilcox was hardly being used in OKC, so he goes from having serious potential in New Orleans to being an afterthought (again) for the Thunder. He could still be dealt by the Thursday deadline, but that's probably easier said than done at this point. Source: New Orleans Times-Picayune
I could not imagine Vince with Mo Williams and Lebron. That'd be crazy. Which Jefferson are we talking about to the Cavs (it is a common name,I can think of two Al and Richard off the top of my head)?
Richard Jefferson was the Jefferson in question...Al Jeff is done for the year with a torn ACL game before the All Star Break. The Carter to the Cavs rumor I predicted at the start of the year. His salary and Szczerbiak's are a reasonably close match that only fillers are needed.
Well, looks like Chandler stays in N.O., he failed the physical. Now we know why they were trying to trade him.
Sessions is a star Pg in the making, that would be back to back NBA star caliber PG's the Bucks would have lost. Skiles has to be regretting coming to the franchise if this trade happens.
You would think that 44 point and 12 dimes line he put up last week would have sold everyone the kid can play.
Sure enough the NY Post has been reading my posts, per rotoworld...: The New York Post reports that any deal the Knicks make with forward David Lee will have to included Eddy Curry's contract as well. Teams aren't likely to be in any rush to take on Curry's contract, and the Knicks aren't believed to be in any hurry to move Lee, so it sounds like any potential deal would be a long shot. ESPN has a different variation: Wilcox to the NYK James to OKC, Thomas and malik rose to Chi for Hughes
looks like theres more then 1 deal going down with the NYK, per rotoworld: ESPN.com is reporting that the Knicks may send Malik Rose's expiring contract to Oklahoma City for Chris Wilcox and his expiring deal. Wilcox would probably get run for the undersized Knicks, but we'd wait and make sure this one happens before making a move - unless you're desperate for a big man. Source: KnickKnacks.com Related: Malik Rose Newsday is reporting that the Knicks are close to acquiring Larry Hughes from the Bulls for Tim Thomas, Anthony Roberson and Jerome James. Versions of this trade are all over the place right now and where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Hughes looks like a decent flier and if this deal happens, the Knicks won't have that many guys to share the ball with. Pick him up if you have someone you won't miss having on your team. Source: Newsday.com Wilcox gives some size to an undersized team; less time at C for David Lee is a good thing. Hughes will be useful as he can get up and down the floor and play some D. The Knicks are hurting for a SG and one that would be a good perimeter defender is particularly useful. However Hughes had his own website in Cleveland... StopTakingSoManyBadShotsHughes.com
ESPN is saying this now. The Chicago Bulls made their second big trade in two days on Thursday, agreeing to send Larry Hughes to the Knicks for Jerome James, Tim Thomas and Anthony Roberson, two league sources told ESPN.com.
Per ESPN's Chad Ford: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=TradeTalkRoundup-090218 Could the Knicks make three deals today? Sources say the Kings have offered Kenny Thomas for Nate Robinson and Jared Jeffries. If the Knicks could move Jeffries, it would clear another $6.8 million in the summer of 2010. The Knicks would have to give up the talented Robinson and eat Thomas' $8.7 million salary next year ... but it's probably worth it to the Knicks. Especially now that they've shored up their offense with the Larry Hughes and Chris Wilcox deals. Would hate to see Nate the Great get moved but dumping Curry and Jeffries has to be the aim now. Anything that accomplishs that and helps the 2010 goal I am in favor of.
We got a blockbuster!!!! Per rotoworld.... The Celtics have reportedly traded Patrick O'Bryant to the Kings in exchange for a possible draft pick. Boston will not receive a player in return. The Celtics unload O'Bryant's contract from their payroll, and the Kings get a rather inexpensive look at a seven-foot former lottery pick. However, odds are that O'Bryant won't get enough minutes to make a fantasy impact in Sacramento with Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson and Drew Gooden (if healthy) all standing in the way. Source: Boston Globe Related: Drew Gooden, Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson
here! Well not quiet a blockbuster but a significant deal. Per ESPN's Marc Stein. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=TradeTalkRoundup-090218 POSTED: Feb. 19 -- 3:05 p.m. ET Marc Stein: Looks like we have a fairly significant three-way deal that has been submitted to the league just before the trade deadline. NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com that Orlando is acquiring Rafer Alston from Houston to fill the void created at point guard by Jameer Nelson's shoulder injury. The Rockets will receive Memphis guard Kyle Lowry, Orlando forward Brian Cook and perhaps two other minimum-salaried players to make the finances work. The Grizzlies will receive a first-round pick from Orlando.
Keep in mind proposals can still be accepted....found this gem on rotoworld. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reports that the Suns and the Blazers were talking a trade involving Shaquille O'Neal leading up to Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline. The trade deadline officially passed at 3 p.m., but word of deals that have transpired could potentially continue to come in after the deadline. No word yet on the particulars of a Shaq to Portland trade or if one has transpired, but stay tuned.
depending on who its for i would be okay with that. i'm sure it would be cheap considering the deal the cavs were giving the suns

Boom goes the championship Starbury the timebomb, has signed with Boston. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/...-with-Celtics-after-clearing-waivers?MSNHPHMA
idk.......You know what makes Rondo so good for this team? Everything that has nothing to do with Marbury. Now you have 4 guys potentially on the court at the same time that all need the ball.
Well Ray Allen, KG, and Paul Pierce have already proven that they dont need the ball. But I really hope Stephon Marbury does not come in and blow every thing up. Rajon Rondo is starting no matter what. Which is good. But I really hope Stephon Marbury does not come and blow up the locker room. But I have a feeling he wont. I think he will be good for us.
It's too bad that guy got his way after all the pouting and 'me first' attitude. That would be a shame if he got a ring with Boston after all that, especially with the season half over. Nothing against the Celtics, I just don't think he's earned it.
I think it was just a mess in New York. The only way he does not deserve a ring is if he is on the bench the whole time. I think he is really going to help us out.
Maybe, I hope he doesn't end up being a distraction for you guys. As long as he doesn't try to be an NBA 'Terrell Owens' or anything. Good luck
There were rumors flying around Toronto that Jason Kapono was on the trade block and bingo, today he was traded. The softest team in the NBA just got tougher. I like this move, it was long overdue. Kapono was a 3-point shooter who was paid to shoot threes and just didn't shoot them. Solid start to our off-season.
sixers had no real shooter, now they do. They made the playoffs without Brand and a deep threat. Next yr they should be a solid team.
Very good deal for Philly. Aside from Brand being healthy and able to bang in the paint, most of their perimeter players, especially Iggy & Thad Young, excel when it comes to attacking the basket. Definitely need a couple of guys who can space the floor for you and keep that defense honest. I think we saw quite a bit of that against Orlando. Once their average-at-best shooters were exposed, it was a wrap. No one could step up and make those open shots, and it was home sailing for the Magic. It might not seem like much, but Jason Kapono alone makes Philly a much more dangerous team today than they were a day ago. I guess that can either remain the same or drop a notch whether or not Eddie Jordan decides to sway away from his norm and re-sign the true PG his team has in Dre Miller.
maybe im the in the minority but i hate the deal for Philly. Evans is a tough dude and Brand is fragile. Theyre going to need Evans at some point and wish they had him. You dont necessarily need 3's to be a good outside shooting team and Young and miller both have excellent mid range games. Young in particular has a developing outside game and his range has gotten better each of his first two years. From todays newsday: The knicks are strongly linked to Stephen curry who in the past few weeks has said numerous times he would love to play for the knicks and that he loves d'antoni's offense (wouldnt mind the pick at all) Also the knicks are being mentioned as potential trade up partners with Memphis for the #2 pick...the NYK have a ton of expiring contracts: "According to a report in Tuesday's Memphis Commercial-Appeal, the Knicks are among three teams that have contacted the Grizzlies about making a jump to the No. 2 overall pick." http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-spknix1012861396jun09,0,2638806.story
