Casual gamer walks into ebgames to buy ff13 and a 360 cause he heard it was amazing. Casual G: can I buy these? Ps3 fanboy employe: You know the ps3 version is only 1 disc right? Casual G: So does that mean the 360 version has more stuff? Ps3 employee: No it means you have to get up off your couch after 15 hours of gameplay Casual G: Alright dude well I think Il stick to the 360 version since I dont play that much and have a life and my friends all have a 360. Ps3 employee: Cries and wishes him a happy RROD christmas someone wrote this on another forum lol
I'm pretty sure they took out parts of the movie and actually added more than 26 minutes, it just ends up being more than 26 minutes longer. I could be wrong but that's how it seemed to me. I think it's quite a bit better than the normal version, but if you hadn't played Crisis Core (i beat the **** out of it) then you wouldn't appreciate it as much as I did. Zack is a pimp.
Which FF should I pick up to get acquainted with the series? I have not picked up any of FF games yet, too many games to get caught up on (GoW, MGS etc..) and I have been playing Sacred 2 and Fallout3 I just have not had time to get started on FF yet. Or will I beable to pick up the new one without playing the others? Thanks in advance guys
None of the Final Fantasy games are tied in. Each is a completely different stand alone story. Besides the name "Cid" and a few other minor details, they have nothing to do with each other. As far as a good "first FF", it depends on the consoles at your disposal. I'd say FFX for PS2. It's a pretty simple story to grasp and the game is deep (yet easy to pick up). Good cinematics and has aged pretty well.
FFX and FFX-2. Plus there is FFVII, Crisis Core, the game based on Vincent. I agree that X would be the best enterance at this point though.
Thanks guys, I was really really late to the PS2 party (this past Christmas) so I have some catching up to do on the PS titles. I think I will pick up FFX to get familiar with the game play etc... and when the new one comes out I will pick it up for the PS3. I use to be a X-Box fanboy but latley I have become a PS fanboy.
XIII Versus is an entirely different game set in the same universe as XIII. The tone and obviously story are supposedly very different.
i cant wait to ask you all about it again in 3 months. and then theres that other one too, the "school" one. versus has a cool premise from what i read on wikipedia.

This game interests me more than XIII.

Thread necromancy, man. Thread necromancy. Versus XIII has no release date and is apparently doubtful (to apply the injury report to video games) to make E3. The game's apparently been redesigned at least once, and is more of a traditional JRPG. For example, there's a world map and an airship. It amazes me that all of Nomura's games take forever to develop. You would think by now Square-Enix would have streamlined this guy's workload.
I played FF11 for a while...it was ok, fun for a while but everything required grouping once you hit a certain level. I like exploring worlds and interacting with people, so I'm always into trying new MMO's
Sentence 1 and sentence 2 seem a bit contradictory to me. I guess you'll give FF14 a shot, though. If you have a PS3, I can give you my FF14 beta invite code. I haven't used it and never will.
Yeah...well I do like grouping, but FF11 got to the point where you HAD to group to do anything...like you needed a proper makeup of i think 5 players (tank, heals, some dps) just to grind out xp ...I dunno I know some RL friends that will be playing ff14 with me so we will make a good go of it right from the beginning.
