I would add the Wake signing to the list but otherwise I agree that it was a very good, under-the-radar offseason.
everything @ this point is expectation & speculation the truth resides on the playing field got to play the game
I actually don't expect huge production from Wake this year. I do expect big production from Porter, Roth and JT. Usually pass rushers, even HOFs take that first season to adjust. If Wake gets 4 sacks he will have had a phenomenal year. I do have expectations that Wake will be a beast going forward though. I'm expecting about 12 sacks from Porter, 8 - 12 from JT and 5 - 6 from Roth. I'm guessing that JT and Roth will kind of split duties with JT getting the bulk of the passing downs. Actually, I think JT and Wake will rotate in for both Porter and Roth but JT will get the bulk of the action. Overall I'd like to see: LB: 30 - 33 sacks DL: 10 - 12 sacks DB: 5 - 6 sacks That would give us 45 - 51 sacks for the season which would have ranked us in the top 5 last year (somewhere between 2nd and tied for 4th). I think we have a front seven that's capable of that. I see this area along with the WRs and running game (improved OL) as the three areas with the greatest potential for improvement.

Means NADA, we have to play the games. I realize we're all starving for anything we can sink our teeth into this time of year, but none of this means a thing unless we win games. Decent article though, and yes, they should have included Cam Wake.
I've watched Wake play in person, up close at Argonaut games and this guy is an absolute monster. It isn't easy to sack quarterbacks in the CFL with the wider field and wide receivers getting 10-15 yard head starts so passes are sent quicker. But this guy made it look easy, he took on two and sometimes three blockers and still hit the quarterback. The Tuna has seen something in him that 15+ other NFL teams have, potential. I don't expect him to make a big contribution this season, but after a year in the league getting used to it again I can see Wake having a solid season in 2010.
I just dont get the Patriots having great moves by bringing in Leigh Bodden and a bunch of over the hill players.
