If you have never had a chance to see this band, you really should. The name of the band is also the description of what they do-they take a classic album and play it note for note. I am going to see them tonight at the Hard Rock Live at Universal, they will be playing "Wish You Were Here" and several other Pink Floyd tracks. My brother in law is their "Florida liason" since they are from Canada, and he plays with them as well, including tonight. So I get to say "I'm with the band, man." Come on out to the Hard Rock Live tonight and jam! Plus, you'll get to see my contribution to tonight's show-I helped build a door yesterday that will be used for sound effects during "Money".
They are doing Van Halen 1 in September. That would be cool to see, especially if they can pull of a song like Ice Cream Man.
Well, lemme tell ya, they pulled off "Pigs" tonight, complete with grunts and squeals, so I don't think "Ice Cream Man" will be too tough. It was AWESOME.
Tonight is AC/DC "Back In Black". My friend Glenn and I got roped into roadie duties by my brother in law tonight. I already loaded the amps and drum kit to be hauled out to the Hard Rock, and in a couple hours I'll be unloading and setting up. We get to see the show free, drink the backstage beer, and then break it down and load it all back up to be hauled back to my BILs studio. Not a bad job, even if there is no pay.
Instead of saying "not a bad job" you should be saying "This is an awesome job". They are paying you with backstage beer and a free show!
