God... no respect for Varejao. I forget which coach suggested technical fouls being called for excessive flopping, but I hope the ruling gets passed one day.
for the sake or more intense games i am kinda glad that this will be going to at least 6 games (most likely) -plus it'll mean whoever wins will have less resting time for the lakers
Not too surprised, I figured the Cavs would be back with a vengeance, no worries Magic fans, we'll get it done Saturday night!
im so sick of hearing about LeBron james. I can't wait for ORlando to put the nail in the coffin of the Cavs' season.
It'll happen man, just wait until Saturday night, about 8:30pm. He'll be playing golf on Sunday afternoon.
it kills me to see him launch up 3 pointers constantly. Occasionally 1 might go in, maybe 2.....but it kills me.
Next game, Saturday @ Amway Arena. Blue & White IGNITE! I hope they bring more intensity, game 5 I just didn't feel it. I don't know what was going on, they weren't playing Magic ball. They died by the 3 tonight.
It will be interesting to see how game 6 pans out. I'm pretty much expecting Dwight to get into early foul trouble, and more of the same. (Lebron being the most aggresive player in the world on offense and defense, yet somehow never ever gets in foul trouble, Varejao flopping, TNT announcers gasping over how incredible Lebron is, and us Orlando fans booing so loud at the refs that I'll probably need a new tv on Sunday)
I hope we pushed them hard enough that they don't have much in the gas tank when they get to Orlando... Not sure that happened though. Anyone else notice that the Game was actually officiated decently in tonights game, BUT when we got back into the game the BS and tic tac fouls on us were being called again??? I was so happy when Stan went nuts after the no-call on Hedo after LeStern gets every little call (he had one right before the no-call because Pietrus barely grazed his shoulder).
One thing I still don't understand is how Dwight Howard is called for a foul when he puts his hands up and just stands straight up while LeBron touches him - doesn't make great contact, just touches his body to Dwight's - and its a foul. I'm by no means a Magic fan and I'm not biased but its something that i can't figure out. Some can say its a conspiracy, some can deny it, but what you can't deny is that there are a lot of bullcrap calls going on.
Oh Christ, were you watching the game? Well that's what did it! J/k man, I'm glad you didn't have to work and could watch a game.
I agree with that, and it has happened to both sides IMO. In game 6 though, Orlando only had 2 more fouls called on them than Cleveland. Of all the games, I think this one was least influenced by the refs personally. In fact in Cleveland 2 wins they have had 3 less fouls against them TOTAL than the Magic (2 less in game 6, and 1 less in game 2). Game 1 the Cavs had 4 more PFs (19 to 15), Game 3 the Cavs had 10 more PFs (34 to 24), and game 6 the Cavs had the same amount (25) and that game went to OT.
I watched the last 3 games I should be off on Saturday by 7, but might be doing something with a girl... hopefully i get to watch it though.
First off, you mean game 5... lol You can't just look at the bottom line my friend. Fouls can be a part of the game plan, for instance when Dwight gets the ball down low the Cavs intentionally try to foul him; the Magic don't do that. Plus all the close calls have gone to Cleveland... like the loose ball fouls, jump balls, close plays out of bounds. If you have watched the games there is definately a difference.
I have watched all the games, and I think there have been questionable calls and non-calls on both sides. I don't think there has been an immense difference as if one team has been favored over the other.
Huge Magics fan here. Can't believe I missed this thread lol. The calls Lebron is getting sickens me. These games remind why I'm hating the NBA more and more every year. These superstars continue to get BS foul calls, but other players have to get shot to get a foul call. It's disguisting. How is it a foul when Dwight Howard stands there with his hands up, moves back, and gets bumped by Lebron? He might as well get out of the way, but they still might call a foul on him. Bottom line, close it out in Orlando on Saturday. And when I say close it out, I mean a 20point blowout.
Been cheering big time for the Cavs but I can't see them winning game 6 They need to hold the Majic under 90 points to have a chance
