Do you think it would be disrespectful for me to refer to anyone over 40 years old as "Grampa" or maybe "Walkin Corpse"? Yes, I think referring to a grown man as a kid to be disrespecting, however there could be question on whether or not you intend it. Now I'm starting to think you haven't even been paying attention. To the game or the complaints I have made. Go back and read my first post responding to you and look at the specific criticisms I made. Nowhere am I whining about Howard getting fouled. I think it's a pathetic & ineffective tactic that slows down the game, but it follows the rules and does have negative effects on the team who utilizes the "Hack-A-Shaq". It also puts Dwight in a position to come through in the clutch and build confidence at the line. If the officials want to call ticky-tack fouls, fine. If officials want to "let them play", fine. I only want to see it called similarly on both ends of the floor. This bull**** about Mo Williams not getting T'd up for throwing a basketball deliberately at Dwight Howard(in front of the ref no less), and Dwight Howard getting T'd up for giving a fist pump minor celebration....that **** is unacceptable and inexcusable. The ridiculous & obvious bias that LeBron James has been enjoying is also beyond the pale. How can you not expect Dwight Howard to get frustrated with this? This is a learning experience for Dwight, but it doesn't take a Magic fan to see some of the bull**** going down right now in the NBA. Lebron is getting a clear advantage & Dwight is having to deal with far more than simply "being a big man". It speaks volumes that despite all of this he has taken the Magic to a 3-1 advantage, & nearly a sweep of the #1 team in the East if not for a freak shot by LeBron.
As much as I don't want to hijack this thread, and I promise that if this discussion continues beyond tonight I'll personally back away from it myself game time tomorrow night... What on earth drives you to believing that the 05-06 team wasn't led by Dwyane Wade? I know it wasn't the 13 PPG production from Shaq in the Finals, a series in which he was defended one on one by Dampier or Diop in pretty much every game. Kobe is another discussion. He's never led a team to a title. Wade has, and decisively at that.
I love Dwight Howard. Admittedly, I'd simply prefer to remain the only team in the state with a championship banner. That is all.
You guys can argue all you want, I'm not gonna stop you, but I hope you don't go as far as I did last week, sounding like a drunken ******* on the The OFFICIAL "Denver Nuggets VS Vince McMahon" THREAD. That was stupid on my part. Just saying, let it go before it gets to that point.
My buddy called me from Altamonte Springs and bragged about how Howard went on in the local news broadcast about how proud he was of his team, and that he didn't worry about if he got suspended, 'cause he has teammates to back him up. That doesn't sound too selfish to me.
Thats exactly what I was screaming at Home. LeBron goes up for a shot, the ball NEVER Leaves his hands, Dwight keeps 1 hand on the ball and doesn't allow him to shoot the ball. Thats UP and Down, but somehow they call it a jump ball... Then How the hell does James out jump Dwight Howard, who is taller than James and has a very impressive vert. One of two things happened, the Ref threw the ball up towards LeBron or the Ref throw the ball low in order to give LeBron the Advantage. The NBA is screwing itself up... They are trying to get the finals to be Cleveland vs. the Lakers to get the most viewers, but they are actually lossing viewers because people are starting to relize that the games are fixed, or at the very least called in one teams favor.
So do we win tonight, or does Cleveland take this one and we head back to Orlando Saturday night? I'd love to see us win this game, but Cleveland's back is against the wall, so I'm expecting a very close game. I'll try not to be too disappointed if the Cavs win at home. GO MAGIC!!!
This discussion has been beaten to death so I'll just say this: Zo had more of an impact during those Finals then Shaq did.
We've just got to weather the storm... they arnt going to shoot 74% from the field as a team for the rest of the game...
what a bad call...wally didnt do anything and dwight swung his elbow dwights elbows are more dangerous than north korea
